Yes It's a vacuum pump back there.

So how did the balancing go? I've been reading where some guys are using Air-Soft pellets, the heavy ones, to balance tires. A lot cheaper than the commercial pellets. Using 10 to 16 ounces of pellets per tire seem to do the trick. I think it's worth a try.

IIRC you won't it's the rod running down the column to the switch. You should be able to see the rod move when you toggle the handle. Of course it helps to be able to stand on your head for long periods of time :lol: I took mine apart and re-greased it. Not too bad.

First, check your grounds. Then I'd check the switch. Look in the tech manuals section here. I'm sure there is a schematic there.

And to add to his question If I want the pump at the back but mount the filter on the firewall would it be a good idea to use a filter just for the pump? IE like a 10 or 15 micron filter for the pump and a 2 micron on the firewall? I don't want to sacrifice a pump but I know if I don't have...
