Yes, two to make one. Exterior will be semi-mil looking but it will have a gray civi interior. Engine will be a 6.5L Turbo.
So it's not a Resto as much as it is a build.
Maybe he is smart enough to use his parking brake and wants it to work.
That's beside the point though since it's use is telling him symptoms of potential problems.
Yep, it's fiberglass, not metal :D :D I got mine off by myself but it's really cumbersome. Using some form of lift and a couple of straps is the way to go for one person :)
I looked at the OD Iron site and did not see anything which would prevent one from discussing the rules of the site.
Certainly under "fair use" laws anyone can post a review of a business. So I did not see any restrictions nor understand why one could not discuss the "Unusual Rules" mentioned.
I had to go check mine
I've got one rim, looking for 4 more 12 bolt rims CHEAP  , all 12 nuts are 6 sided. You can find the 6 sided nuts on eBay for about $1.75 each
Where'd ya get the tires & rims? How much $$$ :D
Backspacing on H1 rims is 7" (I've also read 7.25").
Spacers are nice. Re-centering is better. Of course the last option I found out after  I bought my axles. Get dually axles. Stock H1's will look great on them. :D :D
Rapco is a distributor. Gillespie Coatings Inc, GCI, out of Longview, TX makes the paint.
Haz-Mat is $28 ($21?) and I know you can get at least 4 gallons for that. If it's in spray cans or quarts there is no Haz-Mat fee.
Am I missing something here? The SF 97 is to show GL can legally sell the vehicle correct? I don't see how GL can charge you for that. What's next? They pull off the VIN tags and sell them seperately?
Jack didn't seem to help much. More heat, more PB Blaster.
Then I got the UH - DUH idea. I pulled the Zerk fitting and sprayed into the hole. Over the next couple of hours I gave it a couple of good shots and then the 2 pound sledge. It finally came round to my way of thinking and came apart...
I've got a 6 ton jack and a about 8" steel post. I'll chain the pintle plate to the post and put the jack between the post and pintle. We'll see what gives first
Probably me
Shocks don't have much to do with ride height, you are correct there. I'd look for something bent around the springs like hangars. Or frozen up with rust. Check both sides.
Might help to jack the wheels off the ground and put stands on the frame to check the drop on eich side.
I got this suggestion from The Diesel Place. Several said it would work and it did.
Unscrew the glow plug and start up the engine   They often will pop out. That worked for one. Made quite the clang when it hit the fender well but I looked and didn't find a dent or even a...
I'm trying to remove the pintle from the mounting plate. Took the plate off the bumper, got the castle nut off & washer and that's it. I thought it would come apart. Couple of whacks with the hammer got no results. I've pulled the 4 bolts out and the bushing/support plates on both sides of the...
I'm sure you can get one  Just have to know the ropes 8) Yours might even come with a free stay at Club Fed as well
For 18 months I hope he was only selling stripped HMMWVs. No armor!
