Yeah, when I first seen the add, they were new in the box. I got one of the old ones. I was just looking for the size of the two bars, so I could make up some myself.
I just got my lug wrench that were being sold on site, but mine didn't come with the handles. Anyone have the measurements of the handles, Length and Dia. maybe I can find some material that will work.
Thanks
That's funny because I got two 003's from Letterkenny last week and mine were tied down also. When I started reading this thread, ran out and looked all under everything, no dogbones!
I was thinking about your recovery today, don't forget to release the brakes. The E- brake handles should be at a 90 degree upright. I've done that one before. The lunette can be tight, I just picked up a gen. trailer and it popped loose right away! Towed it home 800 miles. Long day
Empty trailer is not too bad, but the lunette is around 34 inches high [ BIG ]. Something else to think about, a set of magnetic lights for the trailer. I use a set and they work great! Patrol leaves you alone also.
First one? if so think about turning the lunette 180 degrees, you'll gain around five inches and tow better. It's not hard to do. You'll need a 1 1/2 inch wrench a socket will not fit. A new cotter key, bring an asortment, tools to remove old cotter key and a big sledge hammer. the lunette will...
I just won a AN/MJQ18 gen set. Both generators look good seems all the pieces are there. The trailer has top bows with the tarp folded up. Don't know what shape it's in yet. The generators are the mep003a and the trailer is a 1 1/2 ton . Final cost with fees and taxes, $1,684. Have to pick up...
Wow, that would work good for me. I also have a 3 axle 18' flatbed with surge brakes . It's a bit pricey but when you need it, what's it worth then.
Thanks for the link, I saved it. Ron
I forgot to mention I'm towing with my 5500 Dodge. It's a 1 1/2 ton truck, but no air brakes. They are big brakes all disc, but like you said in a fast stop, it will be a moment forsure. The trailer is called a AN/MJQ-18. Total weight is 5900 pounds.
This is one from Letterkenny yesterday with two mep-3's on it. The trailer is a 1 1/2 ton, but has open sides like the 3/4 ton trailer. Event 5894 Lot 5207
I thought I read on here that you don't need one for trailers anymore. I just won a Gen-set on a trailer and I don't see where I need one either. Paid in full! Recovery next week.
Alright then! You guys make me feel better now for buying "TAN". I'll get the TM's and get at it. Pick up is next week in Letterkenny then back to Mo. Anybody know the lunette height. Is it the same as a 105A1. I towed two back from Ok. just want to be ready. Thanks
I won a AN/MJQ - 18 gen set yesterday and have a couple questions. The lunette height is it the same as a 105A1 trailer. 34 inches? Also I know everybody likes the green sets better, because the tan ones might have been in combat zones, yea mine are tan so could you guys let me know what extra...
I bought billboard sign tarps. The billboards you see along the road are tarps. When they change ads, they sell the old tarps for around 20 dollars. I think 42 x 14 but painted on one side and you have to cut to size. You can add grommets where you need them. Work good, very heavy
Miller 255 does it all, but I also have an old Lincoln buss box. It's good for farm repair. Rusty and dirty in the wind kind of welding. The Migs can't handle that. Would be nice to have a Tig also. Oh boy here we go, something else to buy!
Welcome, I'm not too far from you, over in Dittmer, so if you want I can come by and check it out with you. There is another guy with a Bobber in Imperial. I also drove mine home 500 miles, wife following behind [ bad mistake! ], so let me know anytime is good for me. Just retired [thumbzup] I...
