How do you guys remove the pulley from the alternator? I see that it has 3 holes machined in the pulley. I tried using a pin spanner wrench in the holes with a breaker bar on the nut. The only result was a smashed hand when it slipped and some not so nice words being exchanged with my...
I don't think there is a difference between the two. The only thing different is the latch pins on the dropside that hold the uprights in place when the side is folded down and the latch that holds the troop seat to the headache rack. I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.
I have all the baldwin filters for the M35a2 along with the p52 for the m211/m135. PM me if you are interested. I have another batch coming in here soon.
I was searching some past posts and saw there was mention of a special tool for removing the 2 piece air compressor pulley. I think someone here was making the tool also. Does anybody have a link to someone who is making the tool or where I can get an original military tool? Thanks.
Not sure if I have one on hand or not. I will try to check this weekend. Otherwise maybe put some gasket material on the bottom in a nice bead, let it cure and then it should seal up like the gasket in question. I've done this before and it works well, especially since it isn't under pressure.
I am a little confused? There is no pipe from the carb to the air cleaner. It is a duct/hose that is flexible? I'm trying to remember which other hose goes from the oil fill to the cleaner. I have tons of M211 parts so i'll check this out and if I have what you need, i'll let you know. If...
I believe that you can since the spacing of the M35 and M211 is almost identical. Several members have put 11.00s on their m35s. This of course reduced the clearence from wheel to bed and wheel to wheel. The m135 and M211 did use different rims. It is a very minor difference that has to do...
Does anybody know the Sherman Williams number for any of the CARC paints? I went to day to visit them and they kinda knew what I was talking about, but said if I could get them a sherwin williams number for it they could get me a price and see if they could get it. I know they are a supplier...
That's a pretty good price on tires. I sell used 11x20s in good shape for $60 here in SD. If anyone needs any, I have about 8 left to sell and then i'm out.
you definately have to post some pics of that project. Where did you get a M41? I would love to get ahold of an older tank. I'll bet my checkbook can't support that wish though.
I picked up 3 new belts, and both radiator hoses today from NAPA to the toll of $112  Is this the norm or does anybody have a better source of belts and hoses for the M35. I couldn't believe how much that was and Sturdevants Auto Parts wasn't much better.
I am missing the right side upper radiator support for my M35. Does anyone have a spare one laying around that they would part with? This is the bracket that connects the radiator to the support rod behind the radiator. Thanks.
I'm a wheel vehicle mechanic in the military so I know how to check brakes and see if the booster has the new upgrade. I had an older deuce blow out the brake switch on the booster and I had no brakes. That wasn't fun. Pipe plug in the hole and I was back in buisness. I'm going to talk to...
Well i'm planning on using the towbar to flat tow a deuce with a deuce. I was going to load an M105 into the bed of each deuce also. Question is, should I remove the driveshafts on the towed vehicle to help with towing and to reduce the risk of damage to the drive train? I have heard a lot of...
I need to take a second to wipe the drool off me. Those are some really cool pics. I love the up armored D7G dozers. I have had much stick time running them, but never with the armor. I always said I would ride a D7 into combat since the whole thing is one giant tank without a main gun, lol.
Although I never had any dealing with Joe Young I have to say I know his reputation well. In fact he got me into the MV hobby and he didn't even know it. I can't imagine how many hours in Study Hall in High School that I spent drooling over his website and wanting one of his deuces. Thanks...
I wonder who in SD bought the CUCV? I can't imagine it can be very cost effective to buy stuff in AL and ship here to SD. I would hate to see that trucking bill.
I saw a video on youtube where a guy was driving it that way in reverse while someone else was firing a m2hb 50 cal off of it. I don't think it was at knob creek, but was another shooting meet. I know MV magazine a few months ago had articles on the mule and all the different weapons that were...
I don't know about value wise, in the condition you describe maybe $500. I bought a few for $310to $515 range about a year or so ago. It is more of a question of what is this truck worth to you? Have you always wanted an early deuce to restore and have or are you looking to make money? I...
I believe it is 34070. I am painting my 54 M211 with it and I love the old WWII Semi Gloss paints. Look forward to seeing some pics of your M37. I have a 62 M37B1, and am not sure if I like 24087 enought to paint it or if I will stick with the WWII color.
