It would be all ex-military trucks doing the hauling, and of course we would take pics and keeps the site posted on our progress.
I fully expect this to cost me what freight would, difference being I can't manage the bees by riding along with the freight company.
It will be a great adventure...
Okay so I am putting out feelers for people interested in a challenging relay from Sacramento CA to Southbury CT.
Here is the deal. you would need at least an m35a2 or A3 or larger because the load is matched to that size truck. I am planning to fly out and accompany the shipment back, acting...
One point worth mention is that if you are NOT BLS certified and preform CPR, Heimlich or use an AED on somebody, in many states you are not protected by their Good Sam laws. i will not generalize and say all states don't protect you, but I am a licensed RN in 25 states and so far have not found...
Nice job; I have BLS because it is required for my job, but haven't used it in any way outside of coding somebody at work.
Everybody should consider getting certified; re-certs can be done online conveniently.

Okay so I bought a m1009 off of gsa and have to pick it up tomorrow. I rented a uhaul trailer but am worried that it will not fit on it when I get up there. How wide are these trucks outside to outside of tire? I have read that they are 79 inches but I went and measured the uhaul and it is 75...
I don't think fire depts have to have titled trucks. You buy a retired fire truck off of GSA or Govdeals and they come with an sf97 just like military vehicles.
That is on there so whenever the ass driving it hits a rock, tree or other solid object the hood flops up over the windshield and calls the driver an ass....
Your fun is just beginning. You have a solid 8 weeks to worry about moving the truck. It will take that long for them to clear you to pick it up.
As far as driving off it varies location to location, but usually if it is operable you can get an insurance card and temp plate on it and drive it...
No, Not a political statement on Steel soldiers. I actually happen to be a "Libtard" Congress is Congress, The extent of their job description is spend money and save the people from themselves. Doesn't matter who or what side of the political isle you fall on they all do the same thing. Lets...
I just passed this 5 ton converted to a pole truck on my way home from taking my son to school. Sorry I was only able to get one quick picture with my cell phone. I could not identify the truck, it looked and sounded like it had been heavily modified. Definitely not a multi-fuel in it anymore...
