Would the M1008/M1028/M1031 frame be the same as that of a civilian K30? Have an 83 K30 dually with frame issues and it seems like a lot of beat up M1008s that get parted out for their axles still have good frames. thanks

I actually bid on your truck. You got a nice one there, good luck. I bought a similar one back in April that now has a pickup box on it. An M1028A1 with a NP205 transfer case. Have put 300 miles on it in the last week. Only had 6700 miles when I got it and it runs like a champ. great trucks!

Sold to a fellow in Tenn. The money ($400.00) went back into the truck.

Found the extension at a local Truck Junkyard, $30.00 pulled. BTW here she is, a far cry from back in April.

RE: New to me M1008 - Checklist before fire up? GL should gve you a key at pickup. At least they did for the two I have bought. Good Luck!

Bad news: the extension housing on my np205 transfer case is cracked. The housing is about 6 inches long, cast aluminum . I could see this coming as the driveshaft was bent when I bought this from GL. Way to go guys with the forklift unloading! My local chevy dealer says the part is...
