It depends on whether you have 3 color camo or 4 camo. I have 3 color camo, I used the Krylon series flat camo spray paints and they matched pretty well except on my vinyl cargo cover, where I had to spray VERY lightly, otherwise I ended up with a semi gloss/glossy finish.. I used the Krylon...
I too had a problem with the flasher unit working only went it wanted to. The grounding of the flasher unit is also an issue. At least in my case, the flasher unit housing is plastic. The ground wire goes under one of the mounting bolt heads between the bolt head and plastic flasher housing...
I use filter bags from McMaster Carr. They have a series of HD 2-in-1 filter bags that include a 5/1 micron bag. That is a 5 micron inner bag to filter out the coarse stuff and a 1 micron inner bag to get out the fine stuff for improved bag life. Yes, bags without a cannister are messy, I'm...
Ken - As usual, you are right. I went back & reread the sticky, I somehow got the matching process mixed up in my mind. My apologies for ever doubting you!
Your point is well taken, but my method it what the TMs state. You are correct about the rollout, but my method will reduce tire scrub because the axle with the smaller tires will pivot relative to the larger tires, which is why I put the larger tires on the front rear axle. It moves the center...
According to the data plates I have on hand, the load on the front end is 5700# wo/w, 6450# w/w. Since you are only jacking up one side the load on the jack will be 50%-75% of the front axle loading, so your jack is lifting 3000#-4500#. A 12-20 ton jack is probably overkill even for the rear...
Mark - You didn't specify if this was a front or rear tire (tyres, in the UK). Bjorn is correct, they should be matched both front and rear. My method follows, I don't claim it to be ideal, if someone else has a better idea feel free to jump in.
1. Measure the CIRCUMFERENCE of all 11 of you...
I'm not that happy. The first EUC for my Deuce cleared in two weeks. I have been waiting since 08/22/06 for the EUC to clear on two multifuel engines I won!
Bjorn - You of course are right, the deuce is "operated" not "driven". I stand corrected!
Jwaller - Yup, the front axle was engaged and working, but for some reason (maybe the hard packed snow/ice) the Deuce would plow straight ahead for 15'-20' after I cranked the wheel before it would start...
Take a look at the photo below of my Deuce. Between the morning of Friday, 12/01/06 and the afternoon of Monday, 12/04/06 we received 16" of snow (ask me about "Lake Effect Snow").
I decided to fire up the Deuce and take it for my first ride in the snow. The air temp was about 15F and the...
RE: EUC
It gets worse.
I won a bid for two multifuel engines in Columbus OH on 8/22/06.
I faxed a copy of my EUC to GL on 8/24/06.
On 8/29/06 I received an email from a Rachael Anderson at GL telling me to make a change in Section II Line 1A of my EUC.
I faxed a second copy of my EUC to GL on...
As far as I am concerned, Kroil SUCKS! I've got near a full gallon that I'd gladly give to someone if they want to pay the shipping.
Seems like Wally World is inconsistent as to where they stock the Breakfree CLP. Depending on the store, I've found it in both the Automotive and Sporting Goods...
The NAPA conversion is OK, but a little pricey. You can get the entire Goldenrod filter (base, bowl and filter element from TSC for $24.72. Replacement elements are $4.86, plus you have the clear polycarbonate bowl to check for water without having to open the drain.
The only problem is...
I did my primary filter by the book - disconnected the fuel lines, removed the bracket from the frame and did the filter change on the bench. Yes, it IS a PITA, but so is moving the alternator and then readjusting it - plus I didn't get any leaks (didn't replace the red gasket under the filter...
Listen to your engine. The recommended idle speed idle speed for a turbo'd LDT465 is in the 800-850 rpm range as best as I can recall. I run mine at 800 rpm, it seems happiest at that speed. A little below 800 rpm it shakes too much, above that it doesn't run any smoother, only faster. Forget...
Thanks Ken, I missed that. Are the Parts X Reference and Member Locator Map new additions?
Re my previous post, does anyone have the part number for the wheel bearing cup? I think if you get the 392 or 3994 bearing, all you get is the cone (or race, if you prefer).
Also, I assume the part...
I THINK, but can't say for certain, that the inner bearing number is a 3992. It should be the same number whether you use National, Timken or Federal Mongrol (er, Mogul). The only difference between the inner and outer bearings is the inner bearing has a larger ID to fit over the step on the...
Re: RE: Air shift question
Joel - did you mean to say "2. while you can install lockouts on an NON airshift truck I doubt you would want to. The sprague would attempt to engage all the time."
