I was thinking the same thing about hearing the stereo.
I wonder why it has ether injection when it is obviously not a cold weather truck seeing as it does not have a heater?
Have a safe trip.
You will have to use care that the tire radius are the same or you will screw up your dif and t-case because the gears will not mesh properly. If the fronts are a 42 inch radius and the rears are bigger or smaller you will have problems.
Take a drive around Blue Sky Parkway. There are several Truck mechanics out there. They may not have experience with a military truck, but will have all kinds of experience with road tractors and dump trucks with bobbing and extending frames. I don't know the name off of the top of my head, but...
I don't believe any hybrids run on electricity alone. We have the Civic and my in laws have the Altima and neither of those run on electricity alone. The electric motor is part of the gasoline engine, it is only used to speed up the gas engine on acceleration. My understanding of the Prius is...
It is not real new. First time I had my smoke stack swabbed was over 5 years ago. I haven't been stopped in the last year and a half, but get swabbed every time I get stopped since that first time. I guess it is like a PH test, the swab turns a color and they compare it to a color chart which...
I have been pulled over in a dump truck and had my stack swabbed multiple times. They don't care what color the fuel in the tank is around here... they go straight for the stack and swab for sulfur to see if you have been running off road fuel.
Man I would be really hesitant to drive an unknown truck with an Allison in it that far. You will want to make sure you have the money set aside to have it hauled just in case. The Allison is a good trans, but it has a reputation of going out without any warning when they do go out. They can be...
I am very familiar with BI and LBI. The stock NDT duels will be fine out there. People get into trouble when they apply too much power and dig themselves in... The deuce doesn't have enough power to apply so you really don't have to worry about it.
Slow and steady
For under 600.00 you can chain up every tire:
TrucknTow - V-Bar Single Tire Chains TRC257
http://truckntow.com/p-26547-v-bar-dual-tire-chains-trc277.aspx
but you only really need a set for the front and one set for one of the tandems.
Okay I have to respond with an off topic lame joke.
The politicians in Frankfort wanted to put in a new fountain so they put the job up for bids:
A contractor from eastern KY submits a bid of 3000.00. The politicians want it broken down so the contractor breaks it down as 1000 for materials...
Nice truck! One cheap quick mod you might consider is putting a ball valve in the line for the passenger wiper. Even if it is not working it is consuming air. (providing it doesn't have electric wipers) I stuck one in mine because I don't need the passenger side to work anyway and I like saving...
A set of chains would have been ideal in a situation like this. Probably could have thrown a set on just the front two tires and drove her right out.
Far cheaper than a winch and takes less time than dragging out the cable and winding it back up when you are done.
You can make a set of poor...
So who is going to guard the gold or is that moving too?
Hard to believe they don't have enough room out there. I don't know what the exact acreage is out there but it has got to be 100,000 or better. Bluegrass Depot is 14000 acres and on the map it is tiny compared to Knox.
