    Are both of these 10-bolts?!

I would have to guess yes on the front, but the rear is definitely a 10 bolt. Later, Joe

How to install the control valves on a m816?

RE: Wrecker The -34P calls it an adapter. I'm guessing it steps down the hose size threads to pipe threads. Later, Joe

How to install the control valves on a m816?

RE: Wrecker Looking at the -20, it looks like you have to pull the hose with the elbow through the hole in the gondola, remove the elbow from the hose, install the nipple/fitting assembly on the valve assembly, install the elbow on the nipple, then reattach the hose to the elbow. Later, Joe

    Cab on GL

This cab just sold on GL and I had to hold off until it ended to say anything about it... I guess the Army ordered a MK48 cab for a HEMTT by mistake... Brand new sold for $353 Later, Joe

    New wrecker

It is in Old Bridge, NJ. To those who think I should pay the man because I won the auction, as long as it is as it appears in the pics and has all of the equipment that was stated in the ad, I plan to pay him. I just don't want to send him $10k, pay $3k to get it shipped here and find out that...

    New wrecker

Well, I won the 816 on EPay and am working on getting it shipped out here. Is there anyone in the North Jersey area who could go check it out for me before I send off the full payment for it? PM me if you can help. The wrecker is pretty complete, it even has one of the tanks (the fat one) in...

10 Ton and trailer for sale

Was cruising the net today and came across this... I have no affiliation with the seller, but with all the 10 ton discussions the last few days, I thought someone might be interested. http://www.armyjeeps.net/Birmingham/birmingham_alabama_collection.htm Later, Joe

    10 kw tactical quiet generator

Nice 715... I've always liked those. My unit in Germany didn't get TQGs until 1995 I saw a few ASK units around before that, but they were few and far between. Later, Joe

    10 kw tactical quiet generator

With reference to the MEP generator sets, there are two different meanings for Tactical. One is electrical and one is acoustical. On the electrical side, tactical generator sets are frequency regulated by the hand throttle on the set, as load changes, the set does not automatically compensate...

How do you Wrecker owners insure your truck?

RE: Re: RE: insurance They specifically said the trailer would NOT be insured unless it had its own policy. I've got to call them on Monday to get some information so I'll ask the question about liability to make sure, but I'm pretty sure they meant no coverage of any kind. Later, Joe

How do you Wrecker owners insure your truck?

RE: Re: RE: insurance Gulfway told me that I could tow anything I wanted with my 818, BUT the trailer would not be insured unless I purchased a separate policy for it. The person I spoke to said that coverage is not extended to towed vehicles with the type of policy I am getting. Later, Joe

Well, I missed the ones on GL because I got tied up with other stuff right before the auction closed so they went for less than my max... GRRRRRRR I have been in contact with the owner of the one in the classifieds, waiting for pics. Later, Joe

The one in Lamar has some issues and he wants $16k for it. I'm not buying one with issues for that much.

    Mack vs Cummins debate

I'm looking at a pair of wreckers right now, one is a 543 with a Mack engine and a 816 with a Cummins and need some help. I know something of the Cummins 250, but absolutely NOTHING about the Mack so I need someone who knows these engines to give me some details about them. Some questions: How...
