Era Correct Hardware
Very similar to a carriage bolt. It looks like this one in the photo. Fastenal did not have stock at the time but the staff made me want to visit again.
Sounds like Era Correct Hardware would be a good business to be in with 50,000 of anything going out the door.
It's brand new and just makes me grin every time I see it, beautiful.
What style of bolts are you using for those counter-sunk holes?
SuperDave is putting a Universal Carrier together and I know he was hunting for some 'stove bolt' style hardware and having a northern challenge. Phillips head...

Rattle noise
Have you re-torqued everything? Mine still sounds worse than yours on the video but the audio online is deceiving.
I have made things quieter just by touching all my nuts with a wrench. It's best to go through a step by step process from the manual so you learn a preventative...

Those finds are not getting easier. I know dabtl has been looking for a pto guard plate waaay down south and can't find one. I checked 7 trucks and they just don't have them. Good to see you found some treasure.
When you get em' all painted up red, white and blue we want to see pics.
Off Runway Excursion
Did you fix your helicopter yet? We heard you wrecked um.
We had an "Off Runway Excursion" and we're going to need somebody
to fly an itty bitty shovel over to the pile it so he can dig himself out.
Deep Space One Mud Recovery
Wish I could help but too busy with beaver, dam up near the arctic.:D Taking pictures as soon as you get stuck and posting them puts some time and minds between the problem and the solution. You'll get her out...
Passenger Law
Restrainment laws will be different depending on State, Country, location and can change over time so being aware of current, local law is required.
I was looking through Alberta and Canadian law info and wandered into this link that gives a breakdown of the different State laws...
Did you hit it with a hammer?
Do you want an original or are you thinking aftermarket?
I take them apart, clean and re-assemble with good success so far.
Is it running? Pictures man.
In 2010 we paid a few bucks to jump on a bus and drive around inside the boneyard. Tickets are obtained at the museum front desk and pictures are allowed in some areas. Neat experience. At the museum there are 80 acres of aircraft that a guy can touch and feel so this is a 'bucket list' for most...

That's the way to do it. Melt the ice and then drive through the liquid.
I gotta admit my belly was scared you were going to get stuck and the voice in my head said, "Do it".
Wouldn't want the tow bill so my gratitude for watching is so much higher, thanks for the vid.

Yes, please.
I found a few G749 carb threads in the Early Deuce Forum but that one up there ^ has a good title so it makes sense to add any carb info into the 'M211-Holley-885-FFG-rebuild' thread.

Insurance Coverage
I know it's a long insurance post but if one friend avoids this adventure it'll be worth it.
We have an update today from our June 16, 2013 fire so I'll use it as a reminder for everyone to READ your insurance policy and understand your coverages, thoroughly, completely...
Is it SOON yet? Test drive?
I have a carb kit laying on the bench waiting for pictures and video of how you did it.

That was a 375 horse power Continental after I hunted for the M249 tractor with speeds of 3mph. Lots of info on Atomic Annie out there but I had to dig for that one. We can thank David Doyle for the specs.
