Still in the shipping containers, thats a lot different from pulled motors just sitting around outside in the weather. Makes you want to go clean out the couch cushions for that extra coin to get one for a rainy day!
I have found the perfect Deuce for me, but it is in Thomasville, NC......500+ miles away. Recovery of this is not seeming to work in my favor unfortunately! Got any ideas guys.
That engine is worth much more than you paid for it, not because it is NOS; but because the emission laws are getting tighter as time goes on & it is exempt...unless you live in California. Very nice score!
The 5 ton rides more cushioned than the Duece which is much more rough to drive around in; hence...cushy!
Great looking truck, I am looking @ one like it this week & might get it if the price is right! :jumpin:
Very nice work all around. Using the mobile sandblaster made your life a lot easier & the finished truck a whole lot more uniform than if done by hand. Another plus side, is that properly primed as you have done, the rust can't come thru as it is gone off the base metal to start with. Keep up...
Spent three hours this afternoon looking for a couple of military trucks @ this guys farm on highway xx on advice from a fellow coworker. Nonexistant in my book this time unfortunately, or a snipe hunt that someone is laughing about......... Maybe its time to go back on the roof work on the...
Working in a chemical plant with hundreds of compressed gas cylinders make me shudder after watching this video. There is always a semi trailer full of acetylene cylinders or two onsite. Be careful out there!
I went to look @ another truck this afternoon that a coworker kept telling me I needed to go take a look @. It was in Interlachen @ a roadside sales lot for everything. Beautiful truck, but it was a 1988 5 ton in sand color, 741 miles, very good to excellant tires & so on. @ half the price, it...
Here in Florida, hurricanes are the big player in killing power for extended amounts of time. Bad thunderstorms are the next player in the power outages, but they are short lived as the power crews usually get us back up & running in as short a period of time as humanly possible. Tree limbs...
Great score for you. Post some more Picts of it when you get a chance. If ya got any spare luck left over after the deal, send it my way so I can put a duece in my driveway.
Well Sir, I should learn from your travels that it can be done. I was too concerned about recovering a low miles Deuce from Warner Robins, Georgia to North Florida to bid on one in earnest.
Congratulations on you new purchase & safe arrival home with it.
Bad photoshop picture to me also, but if it were a real deal, you would have the advantage for taking care of a car jacking situation easily...but only if the carjackers were not too close.
Seems like the collection that I was invited to view might not be losing a piece of it to come home with me. The owner is working to get everything in order before offering for sale, unlike a car dealer who sells you a vehicle; only to have it break down a few miles down the road........then...
Welcome to the site & beware of the green iron disease. There is no known cure for it, just keep it in remission by buying a truck & driving it. Don't forget, if you drive it, you gotta work on it to keep her running smooth.
