    Any trucks with flatbeds? pics?

I also prefer the dropside duece bed as you get the best of both worlds for one single price. The first picture of the commercial flatbed looks like you ran over a squirrel in the driveway!

Your engine still has the Cummins emblem on it. Those are usually stripped off by the time the truck get to auction. The rest of the truck is awesome too, good score! Let us know how she runs when you get a chance!

    Newbie Needs Help with Purchase

There is one here in North Florida that is for sale with very low miles, repainted tan by uncle sugar, that the owner wants a paltry $12,500.00 for. Its a nice truck, but the price is wayyyyyyyy out there. GL auctions have gone for $6500 to $7500 depending on the shape & whose bidding on it...

    Need to find cheap Deuce

I picked the wrong time to buy one also, so I feel your $$$$ pain. They are out there, but the price range starts about $4000.00 for a fixer upper & goes up the better condition they are! Should have bought one years ago has always bit me in the posterior!

I like the way you think. I have some OD green from another project & for some reason Tan is not my favorite color. After making sure all the mechanical ends are taken care of, I will work on putting her back to a camo color pattern most likely. This truck looks like a truck that was up for...

Sorry for the crazy posting of pictures all over the place, but I did figure out how to post pictures finally. Home computer just locks up trying to post, work computer sails along like a breeze. That said, either this weekend or next, I hope that truck is road worthy, so it can go for a test...

This is the Duece that I am trying to purchase now. It has a few problems that are getting ironed out in the next week or so. What do you guys think?

Alternator issue again, advise on upgrades?

Are you using a good quality DVM or just a cheapie? The cheapies might work okay for some things, but you need concrete info to keep from damaging your batteries or worse!

    metal in oil pan

I agree with rusty stud, those spring pieces look like oil seal springs more than anything else. Possibly, one of the Army mechanics lost the spring while changing out an oil seal! Better than a liner chunk!

    New deuce

Welcome aboard & enjoy your stay. Now that you are a new Duece owner, you have lots of fun things to do to it for both regular maintenace & the odds & ends that you will find that will make the entire ownership better. Now post some picts. I can't post from either my computer or android phone...

You have any other info on it, like year manufactured, milage, condition of tires, engine, sheetmetal? I know it comes without the jeep. Drop me a line on it, selling price would be good also. I still have a good line on a 1987 M35A2 that is repainted tan by Uncle Sugar when he was thinking...

LMTV recovery and failure, home now

Glad to hear that you made it safely home. This recovery will put the brakes on sales of the LMTVs that are offered for those who learn about it here. Good luck on getting it running again!

LMTV recovery and failure, home now

I hope you get this all sorted out & home safely soon. The trucks looked a tad unkempt from the auction pictures & are an unknown to me, so I stopped my bidding when they passed my comfort zone. I wonder is it a QC problem or a defect in the design from the manufacturer? Time will tell as more...

    paint job

What an awesome job on your truck, must be nice to have the skills, equipment & time to put it all to good use restoring that Duece. The attention to detail like the shifter boots, the insulation, etc. really stands out as a model for those of us who don't want it strictly military, but like a...
