Welcome to the site and yes service the bearings. Pulling the cap and removing old grease really does nothing. Manual is your friend and you can clean and repack with tools you have around the house.
Two new to me M135's. 2 years ago I had told a friend that I still needed a bed for my 135, he said he had 2 135's one with a bed and a 8'conex of parts if I wanted them. The price was right, I paid for them and basically forgot about them due to other projects. Fast forward to Wed I ran into...
I just added pictures on the safety trip.
The parking brake for towing should be pointing up, vertical for towing, level or horizontal the brake is on.
No electrical brakes on these trailers, check the above listed manuals in post #2
Also MESHL57492 if your brake fluid is orange could be rusted water, or you surge could be pinned out.
Larry check the break a way device if it is not all the way down, if any of the notches are engaged it will build pressure going down the road. Ask me how I know! Next would be brake shoe adjustment then wheel bearings.
Glen types faster!!!
:ditto:
First picture GOOD second picture BAD!
Toward the end of there service life the Canadian versions of the GMC had a 3 color camo 2 greens and black http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e390/edstorey/S16-10.jpg
Pretty much that's what happens anymore, but I picked up a S280 with a civi rv ac/heater in the roof 2 months ago from GL and it was charged and works great. In my 250 I used a regular 110V ceramic household heater and it will run you out of there on high.
I picked up a nice shelter for my Duce but the 3 color truck and 1 color desert just did not work for me. At first I was going to go 24087 but decided to go 3 color Nato carc desert. I had printed the out lines from the camo manual, used color pens and didn't like the 686 Tan, 911 black, 383...
If you have pictures of the trailer add them so others can see what is missing, most guys are visual thinkers. Welcome to the site and remember

KCclay purchased a new to him M35A2 and since today was supposed to be above freezing we made plans to go out and get it. We got a late start getting going so of course arrived when the GSA guys were on break. No big deal spent the time looking at up coming items. We had been told they had a...
KCclay's M275 pulling my M146 trailer, his is a stand in for mine that I have just started to restore can't wait to get it done.
both in 24087 OD semi-gloss
This is from the DRMO at Ft Riley early 90's, KCclay and I were out looking a M416 trailers. All these 880's were lined up with the wheels off we asked the guy out there why, answer was they were to be crushed with the M151s! We were back out the a week latter to pu the trailers and they had...
They are a rare truck I am pretty foggy on them used to do early VF dodges seems like less than 800 K39's were ever built, you might try posting on http://forum.ww2dodge.com/index.php on the other WWII trucks section.
also http://olive-drab.com/idphoto/id_photos_dodge_early.php has some pic's
I think it was the first 4x4 that wasn't full time and if I remember correctly running gear had a Marmon Herringtion transfer case and Timken banjo axles was pretty much like the VF. It came out right before Dodge went to the chrome cross front sheet metal. Got any pictures
I would think you have a leak in you air assist steering and need to track it down and trouble shoot. The regulator has a high failure rate or you have a fitting/line that is loose.
edit, wow I must type slow
