Iv done a lot of sowwheeling , just not in a deuce . Im confident in my self but i dont want to either , 1 lead a really boring run or 2 get every one in over our heads .
Snow runs tend to go like this , the big and the bad move up front , those who dont want to fight the trail move back a...
Been batting around the idea of a winter trail ride . Given these facts is there interest in attending ?
1 Chains would be a problem , trails in the area are short , run a trail hit some pavement to the next trail . Dont want to put chains on and off all day .
2 Have not convinced a better...
" IF " theres gunk in the tank like mine had do your self a favor . Pull the pump out of tank and the cap and strainer out . You can reach down in there and remove a lot of gunk rather then filters every week and constant irratation .
Mine plugged the filters recently to the point it would...
Are your innear dual wheels clean ? Lot of fluid can leak and mixed in with dirt in the wheels does not get to the ground , nothing obvious i suspect a rear wheel cylender leaking . Nothing on the inside tire either ? I have an innear wheel seal getting bad and leaks a touch , never see any...
ha ha ha i didnt think to ask this question before i went and picked mine up .
ear plugs , you will be tired before the truck is . Oh ya them are accurate rofl
Im guessing for that distance a few ibuprofen would be handy too . You may want a small pillow depending on the condition of the...
Now thats a good idea , at my age im getting tired of finding rest areas , this makes it much quicker .
Sleeper is pretty tall too . Wouldnt fit in my shop with that in the back .
Iv long thought of and looked at a couple M37 , then this duece sort of fell at my feet from a private seller . I knew the guy and knew i could trust what he said about the truck . The price was below what i seen on other private sale trucks .
Why i wanted it , well im odd , not odd around...
Some one with more MV knowledge can correct me but on civilian truck trans iv worked on they all seem to have more movement in the input shaft then one would think . 1/16 dont sound like a lot to me . The bearing or bushing in the flywheel holds the input steady .
wildchild unless you are running lockers it really wouldnt help , tire scrub is the problem with turning and lockouts on the rear wouldnt change that . With open diffs they can rotate freely and not bind in a turn . If your locked in the rear then yes i see your point .
That disconnects the transfer but your wheel tire is still turning the axel shafts . Say if you were to break a shaft and had a lock out you could unlock the wheel and roll on out with out binding things up or doing more damage .
My version of " stocked up " . First ill explain why , we live in an area where power outage is fairly common . Winter storms or high winds will take out power for a week plus some times .
Freezer full of meat .
Canned goods , the wife cans veggies and so on .
Generator we light up our own...
This is an odd thing , been in towing all my adult life and we use plenty of snatch blocks .
A 10,000 lb winch needs a 10,000 snatch block rating . People get it in there head they need to double that to 20,000 , not so .
Civilian world stop by any tow shop and ask if you could get one of...
