Ahhhh...See what happens when Westy and I are no shows? We'd at least help clean up the left over beer! Seriously, if you put on another SS rally, I'll be there! The worst that can happen is I'll be looking for a new job, and I've done that many times before. I might even bring the 5 ton...
You guys have a good time and have a beer for me! Unfortunately, I'll be working. We don't get any time off in the spring or fall...or winter if it's snowing!aua
Looks like a good parts truck from the pictures. Don't listen to the BS about scrap prices. There's a lotta work involved to get the high dollars at the scrap yard unless your labor is free. By the way, if you're willing to work for free, I might have a job for you!
I'd just like to add that any 50 to 60 year old vehicle can fall apart at the seams, but in my opinion, old mv's are built heavier and simpler than their civilian counterparts. The Reo or Continental 331 is a tough engine. I have an M45 out back that starts every time, and I wouldn't hesitate to...
I made it thru about two minutes of B.S. before I had to change to some other brainless show. Those clowns couldn't fabricate a story much less a piece of operational equipment. Fake drama must really sell! Now I remember why I don't watch TV.
Lookin' good! Makes me want to start working on mine, but it's under a foot and a half of snow out in the yard so I think I'll be happy with looking at your progress!
Welcome to the site and thanks for the info on the ratios. I agree with you on the modifieds if they're done right. Too often I've seen a perfectly restorable vehicle hacked up with the idea of building a mud truck or whatever. After the owner loses interest, the remains end up on a scrap ship...
The way I see it, Catman and others have done an amazing job just getting the Wis. DMV to back down from banning hmv's from wis. roadways. If this bill is what they'll agree to, then so be it! The alternative is park or haul every mv from '68 on up. I don't feel that's an option. Anyone from any...
Unfortunately, I have lived in this poor excuse for a state for fifty some odd years, and this sort of thing is expected! I don't know if it has anything to do with the current anti MV dmv attitude but a few years back, I went to the dmv to title my newly purchased M54a2 only to be told the sf97...
The last time I was there, Ft. McCoy was near Tomah. Why are you heading northeast roughly 200 miles to Rhinlander to end up going south? I gotta be missing something.
Gilespie makes the paint. There's several suppliers, Rapco parts in Texas comes to mind. Mark Dodd is a good guy to deal with and can answer most questions. The downside is the hazmat charge for shipping paint. I also used Rick Larson Stencils for my truck. Another good guy to answer questions...
I believe the 5E9178 is the hood number. That age truck would have had white stars on 24087 od green. My M54a2 vin ends with 12008 and the hood number is 5E7844.
