Also, I know, at least in my tractor, to low lets humidity accumulate in the engine oil, and water ends up mixed with the oil. Just didn't know what temps were ok, what were bad. Does that oil pressure seem alright? Is there a high flow oil pump for these?

Now that I've got gauges, I see my oil pressure at 50 when it's cold, thirty five warm and going down the road, and 15-20 at idle. My cold weather water temp is 140, Gen one voltage is always about 2 volts higher than gen 2. Being sixteen to 14 generally. Do these seem normal?

Really, I think, any large fuel gauge will work, out of a chevy. I'm sure someone here has a spare. Post a separate "needed, fuel gauge" post.

Last resort, try removing the starter and seeing if it spins when free. Might be binding. Also, do you have an inductive pick-up test tool? They test starter amperage draw, and alternator output, simply by placing them up against the power leads to or from each. Not expensive either.

Any ford type, ie. remote starter relay is what he's describing, (I think). About $10.00 at most shops. Looks like the one that should be bolted to your fire wall near the brake booster. Theres a pic of my glow plug one in my gauges post.

On the white gauges you can, red, green, blue, and yellow. I got them at harborfreight. Just don't twist the bezel when you put them in, it ruins the switch. It's not easy to do, but did happen when I tried forcing one in.

Here's pics of my wiring and gauges thus far.

I'd suspect the ignition switch. Something is causing the starter relay to be powered to ong, burning it out. The switch may also relate to the running after off problem. Ignition switch can be a cheap and not to hard fix. Remember, ignition switch, not key switch.

I'd like your auto hubs.

12v lead on fire wall to after market fuse box to relay and switch or key on oower source to lighrs. Ill post pics of my set up.
