I installed the radio today, and every time I turned on the lights it would go all static. Decided to fool with the lights some and noticed they flickered with the static. Finally dawned on me. I ran a ground from the firewall to the negative of the front batt. and wala! So, to be safe, I...
That would suck. They did it to the old jeeps, what a waste of 4x4. Those jeeps would have been perfect for camp vehicles, woods wagons, doodle bugs and such.
I just built boxes and put them on the fenders, pointing toward the roof. I also built small shallow boxes that fit in the kick panel space. For a light I also went the led way, with a ceramic magnet affixed to it, so I can place where I need it. I went on ebay and found a stereo that fit the...

The hood and the firewall are no problem. I'm not finding inner fender insulation. Seriously considering spray foam and painting it with fire resistant paint or something. Maybe even spray bed liner on top of the foam.
It's always possible to drill out as much of the bolt as possible, and using a pointed punch, actually tap the remaing bolt out of the threads. Another way is to drill a small hole down the side of the bolt, right at the threads and bolt. Fill with penetrating oil, ie. kerosene, and then cut a...
