RE: Re: RE: Looking for Exide 6TL
You can also reconfigure the battery trays to accept and hold properly, regular size type 24 or simillar batteries. you just have to move the studs around for the battery holders.
In my job I know for sure that Popov Vodka is usually the cheapest. All the homeless bums in Ann Arbor know for sure. I have poured out enough of it to feed all out trucks for some years to come. I always like the look on their face when I do it. It hurts them more than the ticket I give them.
I have two items that I would like made into a stencil. One is a copy of my unit patch and the other is a centaur. Both should be about 3 or 4 inches high. What would this cost?
From what I saw the ground comes directly from the glow plug controller card. When you look at the card check the terminal from the temp switch and see what resistance you get at what ambient temp. I think it is the yellow wire but I will check again. When I hear of other people having fried...
When the key switch is off the positive current to the relay is interupted so the glow plugs would just be activated when the ignition switch is in the on position. The -20 has a very good outline on what every terminal does under the trouble shooting section. It sounds like someone bypassed...
The blue wire is the trigger from the glow plug control board. The hot wire to the relay should be hot when the key switch is in the on position. When the controller board wants the glow plug on it supplies ground to the relay. If I ran a ground wire to the blue wire terminal my glow plugs would...
The switch in question does not care about the voltage because it is a variable resistance switch. It just sends different resistence levels to the control box under the dash. The civy switch is the controller on the civy trucks so this switch is military specific. This one had two terminals and...
I think I need to replace the temp switch for my glow plugs. It is the one located on the right side of the engine in the rear. I know it is a military only item but is the same sensor used on the Humvee. I have a Humvee engine in a box but it is alot of work to open it up only to find it is a...
We need to add that part number to the part number exchange list. That is if it has not already been done.
Oops. Already there. Was it already there or did someone put it up really quick.
RE: Re: RE: lock up deuce brakes
I did one night coming back from the field late. I had it would out to about 60 when I woke up and remembered I was coming to a T intersection. I locked them up and at the last minute cut the wheel hard right. I thought it was on only the left wheels for a...
Before leaving for the Clare MI swap meet I happened to see an ad in my local newpaper. It was under the heavy equipment catagory and was for a hi-lo lift. At the end of the ad was the notation that a"deuce and a half army dump truck" was also available for $6000. I immediatly started convincing...
I was in a Field Artillery unit in the late 80's early 90's. We had one deuce equiped with an M-66 and they one of two M2's for the unit. We were an Air Assault unit so lighter weapons were the norm. When I got to Korea we were on SP M109 Paladins. Every section had an M2 and a MK-19. One went...
You took my spot as I was leaving in my m1009. Picked up a few items and had a great time. I had to leave early as it was my 17th wedding anniversary. She expected me to get home about 8-9p but I was able to make it home by 4:30pm. I will be back next year with the deuce.
If anyone going to Clare has an extra M1009 wheel or two and want to sell them for a reasonable price please bring them to Clare and look me up. I also need a couple of 31 tires. I don't care about condition I just need them to put on a truck I want to sell.
Thanks
Chuck
I had the same problem and replaced four relays internally in the switch. It cost me about $30 or so for the parts from digi-key and I had a relative that does electronics replace them. There were four relays and they were surface mount relays. If you take it apart you will see the relays are...
