Called SECO and talked with Roy, no luck without the part numbers. I've gone through the TM's and can't find the part numbers for the barrel lock or even pictures that show the front mounting leg with the two mounting points.
Any help with finding the TM with the part numbers would be...
I looked through the TM's and posts and didn't find anything about what this is on my gun ring. I believe its to hold the barrel down on an M2 but I can't find anything on it or where I might get the parts for the hold down. Anyone ?
I would really like to get the parts but can't locate a...
I didn't notice a fuel savings when I switched to 395's. However, I run around 57 mph instead of 47mph. If I where to slow down to 47 with the 395's then I don't know if there would be a difference or not ? The singles ride better for sure.
I've been searching for a while and the only reference I can find for the Air O Matic is in 361-24-2 for maintenance.
Does anyone know the TM for the installation and the parts listing and numbers ?
thanks
TNJ murray is where i got mine. You can also do a modern alternator upgrade through a company called wolverine
M35 2.5 Ton Military truck alternator upgrade kit from Wolverine Technologies LLC
Take a look at the right forward side of the motor to see if the engine has a rebuild tag. A few people have had problems with the rebuild motors going out. My A2 had 16500 miles and about 450 hours so they seemed to be a good match. No rebuild tag on my white 1C motor also. I would prefer a...
I prefer the A2 with a winch. I have an A2 and like the sound of the turbo, 1c. The money you save could be applied to a 395 tire/wheel upgrade, remote brake resvoir, and air o matic steering. The A2 looks, feels, and sounds like a milititary truck. I kinda like the manual shifting thing to...
I'll pm you my info if you could send pictures with the price your asking I would be willing to drive up and get it if the price is right. I am 500 miles away !
The 55 gallon drum method will be my next option if either too expensive or parts not available.
I saw in another post someone that used an existing ring type opening that was mounted on a plate that was simply bolted/riveted on. Looks very clean and simple. Anyone have any idea where to get such an animal ?
I'm looking for a hard cab top with the gun cut out. Anybody know where to get one. I did a search without much luck. The vendors/classified section doesn't show any. I really don't want to modify my existing top since its kinda rough and would rather just replace it. I don't want to go...
When I had 9x20's on my Deuce I would run around 47mph. I averaged about 9-9.5mpg. Try slowing down a little make sure your filters are good and no fuel leaks. Also make sure your tires have proper pressure.
You could single out your deuce and put 11x20 tires on your stock rims that would...
Axle vent clog, my guess !
I notice a slight leak on the same axle and pulled the vent, it was clogged. Cleaned and reinstalled and no problem since. I also pulled the other two vents and cleaned. My drivers front boot is torn and leaking so I'll be doing boots soon. Not looking forward to it.
I had leaking issues with mine as well. I disconneted the fuel lines and put brass plugs in its place. I also disconnected the electrical connector at the small fuel pump on top of the motor as well. No more leaks. My motor starts easily as well in the exteme cold so I didn't see the need for...
