    Grill re-work/change

It looks interesting anyway. Would like to see what it looks like when it is on the truck.

923a2 won't shift out of neutral

Oh you'll be fine. It's probably just a stuck valve or something.

    Lock outs, locking themselves problem.

You should be able to tac weld a small Bolt or something of that nature to the inboard end of one of the shafts to keep this from happening again. Just something to take up the space. Be thankful that more wasn't totally destroyed.

7.3 V8 normal aspirated Diesel engine problem

Also, fwiw it sounds like it is sucking air upstream ( engine side) of the fuel filter. So that may or may not help you find the suck.

    Safe canvas snow load?

I was thinking, stick a sheet of plywood on top of the canvas and you won't have to worry about it unless the bows cave. Of course you could just be like someone I know and go out and try to melt all the snow with a propane weed burner...

    Fuel switch above primer????

I believe it is a fuel pressure sensor. Not sure why a manually injected engine needs a fuel pressure sensor, but that's what it looks like. Not all of the trucks have them.

    rear deuce shackles

I do know the A3 trucks use the 1" pins on the rear.

7.3 V8 normal aspirated Diesel engine problem

In all seriousness though, you must be sucking air as others have said. Reinstall your pre- priming pump, and then PLUG YOUR RETURN Line, pressurize the lines with the newly reinstalled pump, and watch and wait for a drip or wet spot to form on lines or connections somewhere. That's the best way...

7.3 V8 normal aspirated Diesel engine problem

I'll just put it out there since no one else will: It's because it's a Ford. Stick a bow tie over that blue oval and it'll start fine.

923a2 won't shift out of neutral

This is for sure going to be a valve body issue.

    rear deuce shackles

I have six deuces here ranging from 69' kaisers to 87' am general Air Force deuces and they all have smaller than 1" shackles and pins on the rear. I think they are 3/4".

    M923A2 Engine Swap

You can narrow it down to the NTC 400 and the form 400. Probably easiest to use the NTC.

Have you turned up the fuel rate and the governor?

    NHC250 foreign object in cylinder.

You guys can keep that stuff up there with you. I don't want anymore of it.

Trouble removing my troop seats sideboards and headache rack

Acetylene torch would make quick work of it. Try heating the area where it is painted to the bed on top and down the side pockets a bit, then take some penetrating oil and spray into the seam that is rusted together. The oil will smoke as it cools the steel, but the heat will suck it into places...

    Fuel switch above primer????

    No it isn't.

Finally after being here a while im a deuce owner

It runs and it isn't rusted out... You got a good truck. What more can one really hope for in a first deuce?
