If you're still waitin on EUC

I'm thinking that they were using my old license photo that I used for my previous purchases, which would be expired now. But the scan I sent in for event 4600 was of my current license. Apparently they don't know how to update their system, or failed to look at the attachment I sent in with my...

If you're still waitin on EUC

Well I got an e-mail from GL today about my first Deuce: "Hello Mr. Alton We have been contacted from the Government's Office regarding your EUC for sale #4600. They are requesting a clear, color copy of your renewed driver's license. Please scan and email a valid copy of the original OR mail...

Looking for a Deuce in NH

As they sit, they are both pretty basic: both soft top, no heat, no winch. But I'm planning on putting heat in both trucks, and a hardtop on at least one of them (my father has a top). One is in typical setup- NDTs, dual rear, etc. The other, which seems to be a very nice truck, is already...

If you're still waitin on EUC

The 2 trucks I'm purchasing are my 6th & 7th purchases from GL, although its been nearly 2 years since my last purchase. Even so, with computer technology, you would think I'd still show up as a repeat customer in their system. I'm 38 years old, and nothing on my record that would interest them...

    Any Ft. Knox recoveries?

If what I need is still there, I'll be happy....not upset... :-D but from the sounds of it I won't have any problems getting a new plate stamped up. Thats my big concern. Our overzealous DOT up here go nuts with dumb stuff. One guy had a problem with people having stickers on their windows. He...

    Any Ft. Knox recoveries?

Will that pass muster with the DOT? Or would they even know,,,guess as long as it looks official, and has the correct numbers. But it ticks me off, they were there when GL took the pics. WHY would someone remove them? I'll get the truck home and figure it out. Oh yea....thanks for checking it...

    Any Ft. Knox recoveries?

Crap, looks like I have a part's truck now. Great looking or not, no data plates=no DOT conformity. I'll have to use plates off my other Deuce to get that one home...I'll have to register that one then. Just my freakin' luck. Edit: Check this pic, the plate was clearly on there at the time of...

    Any Ft. Knox recoveries?

This one is at Knox, about 45 minutes from there (my best estimate). I still can't even get hold of anyone to set up an appt. for someone to go look for me, which is why I'm hoping to find someone who has to go there anyway. Jim

    Any Ft. Knox recoveries?

Hey all, I have a friend whos going to do my Ft. Knox recovery for me, but I need some info off my truck. Trying to get through to anyone there has been a royal pain, so I hate to try and set up a special appt. just to get some numbers off my dash plate, especially if any SS members are going...

Use the scoop as just a general guide. I've seen lots with the scoop but no heater, and lots with a heater and no scoop. But generally, it should have a heater if it has a scoop. Jim

A big box on the inside of the driver's fender, right on top. Here are a couple pics to help you: HEATER NO HEATER: You can also see in some cab shots if it has one: Also look for a big dryer vent hose under the driver's side of the dash. Jim

Oops I Did It Again, Deuce #2!

Understood!!!! I'm not even approved for my first Deuce purchase, and I went ahead and bought Deuce #2! Now I need to get at least ONE of them home so I can start playing with it, then sold to recover the cost of Deuce #2. For that winch, why not list it in the classifieds here? There seem to...

    Do it urself bed liners????

Part of the problem is that its so thin if you use their recommended coverage. You would need at least 2 gallons, maybe 3 to get a decent layer on an 8 foot pickup box. To do a Deuce body, I would say at least 4 gallons. By the time you count up the cost of 4 gals. of that stuff, you might as...

    Hauling wood again! 15,000lbs

Beaubeau and I were hauling tree-length wood to a yard last week using his slick GL setup: an aircraft tug (the REALLY ugly ones, with Allis-Chalmers 4 cyl. diesel & 1100-20 rubber, 4 wheel steering) and a modified bolster trailer. One of our loads netted 12.5 tons of wood. Pretty slick setup...
