I'm thinking about doing some mods to my panel. I would like to install a pyro and boost gauge in line with the 3 lower gauges by either cutting out the lower portion of the panel and installing a plate with 5 2 inch instrument holes cut in and evenly spaced for a clean look. In addition, add...
Lifts:

wheel doly to handle the big tires:
1250 Lb. Capacity Mechanical Wheel Dolly
Great ! Now I feel comfortable with a decision. HEMMT rims and 395's tires. The complete spare will go in the back!
I already read about using a small lift from Harbor Freight to get it in and out of the back.
Now, what's a good way to secure the complete wheel/tire assembly in the...
From what it sounds like then, if your going to go with 395's the Hemmt rims sound like the better choice.
Now, will a hemmt rim with a 395 tire fit in the spare tire location ? Any modifications and what type if so ?
will the spare fit in its place with 395/85r20 ?
Do you need a complete spare since the rims are split capable while still on the truck ? Would just a spare tire be ok? Is it easier to change just the tire with the rim still on the truck or just do a regular change with a complete spare?
So I'm considering the change and am wondering if these rims offer any advantages/disadvantages over the HEMMIT rims that have been converted. I'm planning on flipping the rear hubs so all the rims can be the same.
What about a spare. Just have a tire and do a change on the truck or have a...
I'm trying to figure out how I can store my 43 GPW in the back of the Deuce in case of a breakdown. :)
Ramp length to get it up in the bed is very long and very heavy ! Any ideas ;)
If that came out of the filter assembly just below the Generator then yes its the wrong filter type. The small filter sits high in the assembly so that water can collect in the bottom and not be sucked into the fuel line leading to the other fuel filters. That is why its important to drain...
I know that there are adapters for the 11-20's to correct the speedometer at the transfer case. What about going with the 395/85r20's, does an adapter exist for those?
I am considering the super single setup and would like an accurate speedometer. I don't want to go the GPS route if I don't...
My flasher system has worked throughout all the problems so since they share a common ground then grounding is not my issure here. If not please tell me where the specific brake light grounding wire is ?
Pulled the 3 post light switch and checked the connector, very slightly loose. Looked ok put some dielectric grease in and reconnected. pulled the flasher connector looked good and tight, wires a little frayed but ok, dielectric grease in and put back together.
The brake lights are working...
Went out and checked the easy first, the turn signal wiring. the connector was slightly loose and some of the wires plastic covering were torn and cracked. I pulled the connector and electrical taped up the wires best I could and put silcone grease in the connector and reassembled. Well its...
