Bought A M275 Need some guidance

Strong mind, weak back. I've grown weary of them. For 20 years I pushed the envelope of common sense with them from flat towing them with a 1 ton truck to taking 1300 mile trips towing a second deuce. On all these I never had a credit card with a super high limit. Somehow I managed to...

Bought A M275 Need some guidance

I'm going to have to pass on present and future deuce ownership. 20 years was enough, passing the torch to you young folk.

Bought A M275 Need some guidance

The tractor tank is the same capacity as the rest of the tanks, just longer and thinner. Changing the in tank pump can be a pain. I've owned an M275 and an M275A2. I put well over 15,000 miles on the A2. Cool truck. Some days I wish I had kept it.

Gotta love the hole in the hill. My kids were born and raised here in FL. They have never seen snow and never seen a hole in the hill. They have seen tunnels under bodies of water though!

Lugging a towbar around all the time can be a real curse but when you need them, only blessings from above are better. Good work gang, definitely an "A" for effort.

Why are my starter bolts coming loose??

Kimball Midwest (hdwe supplier) sells starter bolts that are flanged like cucvrus mentioned. They have the knurled section as well. I have a small cache of GM bolt and they do not have the flange on them. The flange makes much more sense to me but not to the GM engineers.

    Road trip to Ringgold Ga.

Praise Casa de Waffle. I seem to always find something that needs adjusted whilst stopping there. Press on but be safe Garrett.

    Adding a winch

Ty is right on the money. Its that foot on and off the clutch that shears pins. A smooth operator rarely breaks them. Another consideration that comes to mind is the carrying of an extra length of cable. Don't use this as an extension for a 2 or 3 part line unless you rig it as at least a 2...
