    Road trip to Ringgold Ga.

Pat, don't sweat this one drop. Travel at your leisure. I do not need the winch anytime soon.

It won't be there in time for your trip Garrett but thanks for the offer. Not sure it will get there by the time Phil leaves. Just remember, it's no rush.

Getting my M1009 ready for road trips!

I brought lots of zip ties to the rally. They seem to have disappeared. Looking good Bobby.

If it gets there by then Phil, that would be great. I'd not lose sleep over it though! I'd be happy for sure.

Speaking of airship designations, any of you Air Force folks know "Speckled Trout"?

    Road trip to Ringgold Ga.

The winch is no hurry. My trips to Blairsville are so short and activity packed that I may not be able to make it over the mountain. Next one comes in the March/April time frame.

    Adding a winch

Lots of great points made here. As some know, I'm (trying) to put together a CUCV based wrecker. Not wanting to keep all my eggs in one basket, it will have a hydraulic (or two) on the back and electric on the front. Nothing against a PTO winch, it's just lots of fab to add one to a CUCV...

    Road trip to Ringgold Ga.

Doh, I must have been bitten by one of those big mosquitos from the Moronosphere. Forgot you were going to Derek Tayor's AO. Crikies! Pat, thanks! Keep SWB and the rest of Barnum and Bailey away from my sidewinder.

Can't wait to be home during daylight hours so I can get a pic of that rust red wrecker bed. Hey, that kinda rhymes. Don't y'all be screwing with my sidewinder winch though. Garrett, how many miles is it from LA to Drew's place?

HMMWV's for sale, no longer maybe, it happened

Ryan, the same argument might be valid with all the FDs and PDs that have them. The emissions thing was solved with the last sales scare, a simple memorandum. I'm sure a simple memorandum is all that is required to work this out. The GA MVPAC might be able to get it going!

    NightHawk One aka Marine One

One of these eggbeaters was at FLL in a hanger while the President was in town. There is a rope around the aircraft and a small detachment of Marines tasked with guarding the aircraft. Even in uniform, they would not allow me to even bend over the rope. I'm told that crossing the rope will get...

    New Deuce Maiden Voyage..

Super nice looking deuce and an even better story. It's delightful to see someone willing to invest the time to absorb as much info as they can before pressing these trucks into service. Way too many just jump in and take off not knowing the simplest task then get mad when they come for help to...
