I used a 4 inch rough country lift new springs on all four corners to eliminate the need for blocks. I have not had any problems easy to install and am running 37 inch humvee tires on their original wheels.
I leave the horizontal tube frame on the seat I just weld angle iron tabs on the cross bars to drill and bolt the seat down on the only part I get rid of is the backrest where it starts to curve up ward.
Biggest problem was if I had sold it to a person in a state that required truck inspections once the whole driveline was altered and still titled out as a stock truck there could have been problems I didnt need to have to deal with.
