Which side of the trans light?
Is it the side that is switched by the relay (290/291) OR the side going to pin U (657A)
That is what I asked the OP for originally.
My suspension is it is being back fed from pin U (657A) and seeking ground through 290/291, this would assume the LED is set up so...
All the circuits he is concerned with are 12V. with the exception of the 24V relay coil that switches the 12V on and off to the transmission with the run switch, which appears to be working, If I am correct his only issue is the residual trans light when the run switch is off.
You can loosen the big bolt on the oil filter adapter (just a little bit) and swing the filter if that will help.
Don't know what to say about the manifold bolts, it was tight but I could get a wrench on all of them.
The cover is likely glued on with silicone sealer.
You can cut the bolt with a...
If you take a civilian vehicle to the dealer with a 6.2/6.5L diesel for valve cover gaskets they will simply bend the lines out of the way after disconnecting them from the injectors, it is called "flat rating" the job.
At least that is how we did the 5.7L diesel, same poop different smell.
The DuraVee did come with an "off road only" SF-97 and I had no issues getting title and regular registration as it had a GVWR of 7700lb
EDIT, I just looked at the title for the DuraVee (M998) and it was issued without the "off road use" comment so I would assume it would be transferable to...
There were several changes to the law this year, I did not have to get a certified weight ticket with the DuraVee a few years ago but they did require me to get a certified weight ticket for my FAV this year, so you may have to get one.
Also you can no longer get a 30 day temp plate without...
Actually I was paying my property taxes yesterday, last day for the "discounted" amount.
I did ask and was told you can reduce the GVWR for REGISTRATION (IE license plate cost) purposes.
If you get a "clean SF-97" you will not have any issues in getting a title and regular registration, the...
You start by making a loop big enough to go over the crank pulley, reach in between the tensioner and the water pump and loop it around the crank pulley, then pass the backside of the belt around he water pump and the rest is easy pleasy!
You do not need to remove the hydraulic hose on a serpentine belt, the backside of the belt drives the water pump, it goes from the bottom of the crank pulley around the pump then on to the PS pump/alt then across and down to the ac comp, then to the tensioner and then to the crank pulley...
You want around 8-10PSI to flow enough to cool the IP, those "impulse" pumps also make allot of electrical "noise" that can screw with the PCB.
this is my solution, not 24V but I have a dual voltage system.
It takes around 2-5PSI to get check valve in the return fitting on top of the IP to flow...
Welcome to the forum!!
Certainly not excited on how that guy has it tied down to the trailer....
The military put tie points all over that truck for a reason.
I bought two of those setups, much cheaper a couple years ago, those foam filters were toast just from age (no big deal), like the pictures they were never used.
I would suspect because of the low pressure application these also do not have the high temp output hose that would be required in...
