Most later manuals have tables of torque by bolt size...usually inside a cover...or near the back..you could probably find it in a Google search for "SAE torque bolt size" or similar....

Another case of not knowing what you are buying.. Get those manuals and study them in bed for a few weeks before jumping into the fire.... or in this case...lack of fire..... use of crude language turns off many who might help....
Or you use the nice adaptor in your M series ignition kit...several of which I have sold here on this fine forum..for $45 plus shipping... gives you a nice place to hook the timing light...and all the other electrical functions on M series engines...with generators and distributors etc....
The Marine Corps answer is the best of the bunch.... You still see them uncut on a lot of their vehicles... they were better for slinging the trux than the tiedown shackles in the front. The rear ones on the spring perches withe the guides on the body were still used OK.....
