The 939 series are more chushy than a deuce . They have power steering , automatic transmission , full air brakes and a larger cab.

So is reading the TM's start to finish next ?

Have you followed the test procedure in the TM ?

Unless it has a locker in it with 1 wheel on the ground the other wheel will spin when jacked up.

You did this since you got it stuck ? You may have broke a axle getting it stuck. Time to breakout the TM's

A stock M35A2 is rated for 10k towing. Cutting a axle out will lower that and as wreckerman said you will be lacking brake power. I'm sure you can get a 939 series 5 ton cheaper and have a truck that will do the job .

I thought code H meant it came from the base "Honey Hole" of trucks. :roll:

Dates on the engine tag , axle tags ect. may give some insight if they have been replaced. But doesn't mean the truck was rebuilt.

Just go buy a 6x6 from a power company and put a deuce cab and front end on it .
