14,000 lbs deuce with 140 hp vs. a 6000 lbs dodge with 235 hp , yeah it probably seems a little doggy. But try taking the dodge where the deuce was designed to go .
With the M818 your back to single circut hydraulic brakes . The 939 series get you into a modern air brake system . You should be able find M931 or M932 ( winch model ) what they want for the M818 .
When they sit condensation occurs in the motor with temperature changes , thus getting water in the oil . That is why it is recommend to change your oil once a year regardless of mileage.
Deuces are only rated to pull 10,000 pounds . I would get a 939 series 5 ton ( M923 , M925 ) will be better suited for the load ,full air brakes , power steering and no import restrictions.
Isn't this the transfer case your working on ? m817 transfer case output bearingThis is the DEUCE form . The transfer cases in a deuce and a 5 ton are different , so what good does it do to hi-jack a thread in the deuce form , then complain about the thread ?
Pull the cover off the bellhousing for a inspection , then most likely pull the tranny for a new clutch assembly. I wouldn't pull one apart and not replace everything.
You should read the -10 TM before operating the truck ,It would have explained how to operate the lights.

No problem .
These what's a rebuilt truck worth threads need to join the zombie, bugout and insurance threads and get deleted.
A truck is worth what someone will pay . If you pay too much for a junk truck you should have done better research before buying .
