    Shelter Lifter

back to work. first i bought AL-Ko winches rated at 900kg single line pull and! lifting load is permitted. OK, price is x10....ouch. Than back to the mill and lathe.

    Shelter Lifter

update: after a rope failure, i've decided to replace the winches. The rope breaks at normal lifting....normally a quality winch rope with 5mm is rated at 1300kg breaking load. This rope doesn't stand 500kg....even with the weight of the half shelter on 1 leg (uneven load) the load isn't higher...

    Expectations of M35

The Deuce is a small truck. If you look for a reliable vehicle instead of a 1ton- pick up, you're fine. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?63394-Uses-for-Deuces&p=880072&viewfull=1#post880072 This is about 3 tons hay. Thats enough. High enough, heavy enough. More is a pain to drive...

    24v generator

I have the posibilty to switch in the shelter between the 3rd battery (12V) in the truck and 2 deepcycle in the shelter. While i'm driving, i can use the 3rd battery for the fridge aso. Smart charger b2b and a solarsystem with panels and a controller is the plan for the future.

    24v generator

with 2 independant battery banks (one for the truck, one for the camper) you have many options. 1. a larger generator and a battery to battery charger. 2. a second generator for the camper batteries 3. solar panels for the camper 4. a built in charger that hooks on "shore-power" you can use it...

    Windshieldframe and Wiper mod

I've been asked about the mod in the wiper motor. It's very simple. In the PDF you can see a terminal "S" for switched ground. I don't know why, but the motors missing it. You can switch the +, but the motor stop where ever it want. I've drilled the plastik thru, made terminal out of a small...
