Most folks just add a piece of slobber tube to the vent pipe to get it down lower and into the slip stream...all Diesels slobber... I would check your temp gauge and sending unit because most of these trucks are cold runners and need...
take it off and soak it in penetrating oil... may have had some water in it that froze and forced it open... at least get it closed and then see if the solenoid will open it.. You can make a bench 24V power source out of two lawnmower batteries in series..... or 1 4HN out of a gen set ACE
And a lot of the replacement cabs have a dimple on the outside rear corner about 6 inches up from the bottom...some cabs were made with pedal holes in the right side for export or driver training or ??? Also, the dash panels differ with tachs on the MF and none on the gasser deuce.. choke...
The foot starter was high and to the right over the accelerator, so you could heel and toe the gas while starting and one hand on the choke... way over on the right... there may be a hole in dash for that also...
Check for 24 volts at the pump hookup on top of tank with accy switch on.. check the fuse.... 2 amps by the way.....If your intank pump is not running, just get a pump off a Heater or the right side tank of a 5 ton and splice it into the pickup and hook up the wire to the original pump wire and...
every six months you put a half ounce of OHT in the air side of the PAK... no air in system when you do it or you will be really suprised...open a glad hand on the rear and leave it open so you have no mistakes.. Oht is sold in small bottles by Spruce Mountain Surplus.. ACE
Yes....the M246 has a fifth wheel so it can tow a downed aircraft recovery trailer and to load same on trailer...it has a longer reach.......it is not a wrecker per se... but a recovery unit.... ACE All detailed in the manuals... ACE
torn boot and running in water means there is stuff in hub... get a new boot on there...after you clean it thoroughly.. and recoat the surfaces with GAA.... ACE
