you can take the std 100 amp alt and have the local gen/start guy isolate the ground to a stud and then it is compatible with both positions on the CUCV. Remember that these are 12 volt units and attach the wires to run them in series for 24 volts... The manuals have wiring diagrams.. RAM...

The wiring harnesses were intentionally butchered when the BODrive lights mods were installed by the gummint in the late 70s and 80s... there were numerous plugins on both the fuse box and the connectors between the engine and pass compartments... Grounds are bad in most all trucks.. the ones...
That interlock is kinda cute, but a master switch on the floor under the co driver seat is my cup of tea..out of sight ....and also prevents folks from leaving the lights on...even to the BL postition cuz then the batts go dead from the dash lights being left on ....etc... RAM
Walmart used to stock a 12/24 charger... I have bought a couple of them.. but two little 12 units one for each battery work fine too... No need to panic... There are many different cheapie battery chargers for 24 volt... I think the remote charter from the Scooter Store for wheel chairs...
