Re: RE: Re: Front end
I don't have Adobe at home yet, I have yet to get it downloaded. I have several of them saved to my computer though. Thanks for the advice!
RE: Re: Front end
I'm waiting on my T/M's to arrive in the mail. I've already heeded that advice and ordered some, they just haven't gotten here yet ;)

I'll probably go ahead and convert mine over then. I'm going to keep the original housings, but I'd like to have the LED lights for long drives. Not that the truck itself isn't big enough, I want other folks to see when my brakes or...
RE: Crosspost: Added 12v LED turn lights in series to the de
Cool thread, I was thinking about how to get LED lights to work on my Deuce. I'm a paying member over at CK5 as well.
You've seen them and other than a custom bracket, they use off the shelp brake parts. I believe it's a Toyota truck rotor and a Mazda truck caliper... or maybe reverse that. I don't know how well they'd slow down this heavy of a truck though. That brake setup is intended to be used on buggy...
If it works, use it...
I'd like better brakes for my deuce as well. I don't know enough about air brakes to even think about modifying the system for that though.
RE: Re: SOLVED! More transmission/clutch problems
Unfortunately, I think oil is leaking from the rear main. My clutch pedal free play is within spec... it's about 1.5" as it sits.
I don't plan on doing much towing at all and I'll have a pyrometer installed before a turbo goes in. As long as I keep an eye on the EGT, it'll be fine?
Re: RE: Typical
Is that around the Pohang area? My memory of ROK isn't that great. I spent a few weeks down in Pohang... well, in the training area near there.
My truck "developed" this problem on it's long drive home. It was fine the first 350 or so miles, then it just happened and I have a winch truck and the problem sounds exactly what you described. It also occured after I hit some rather large bumps in the interstate, if not for the seat belt...
Is it just the picture or does that thing have a hell of a rake to it? Does the rear lift up that much with that weight removed? Do yo u have front or rear springs back there?
This is an interesting topic. I have a winch truck and the springs are flat, maybe even concave on the front. If 5ton springs will fit our truck, I wonder if those would be too stiff or tall to run as fronts?
If someone has a set of both, off of the truck, getting an eye-eye and arch height...
