Re: RE: USMC vs. Army Deuce?
This is what I planned on doing. Getting whatever truck I could and painting it up as a USMC truck.
As the ole Marine Corps saying goes... "Gear a drift is gear a gift."
RE: Re: RE: Re: My first Deuce...
With the trick about removing the air filter to start up, then using a 2x4 to shut it down... does that apply to the non-turbo version?
I didn't think it was a 20k winch, but I wasn't too concerned about the weight, it still ahs one there!
I'm planning the trip down to get it now. It'll probably be a month before I can actually get down there. I'll be downloading and printing out the service manuals so I can reference them...
I was told only a bill of sale is needed to title a vehicle in KY. I haven't heard that directly from the DMV here though. For those of you who can't see the ad, the truck is in Lindale, Georgia. Talking to the PO a little more, this is what he had to say...

Here is my first Deuce. My wife doesn't know I won it yet, haha. She thought I was kidding when I told her I was getting it. I'm getting her something too, so it'll all equal out. Now...
Does the middle axle have to move back in reference to the problems you mentioned above? I'd rather relocate just the axles rather than everything else. I REALLY love the way the truck looks w/ the bed back on it!
RE: Re: RE: SMLS
A quick elaboration on what you're trying to say...
With the wheels out, the weight of the truck is assisting the wheels in trying to move away from the truck. With the wheels in, the weight of the truck is "correcting" the wheels movement from the truck.
Is frame stacking the only way to get lift out of the Duece without spending some serious cash?
Would the 53's fit on a stock setup 6x6 (with some lift of course)?
I REALLY like the look of the singles. Looks like the 5tons we used while I was in the Corps. I'm still reading up around here on the correct way to flip the hubs. When I get a M35, the first "mod" I want to do is the single setup.
I'm interested in this water injection set up as well. I've used it on turbocharged cars, but just for the drag strip. How much water does the system use an hour per say?
