You COULD weld a bolt to it - one that's already through a steering wheel puller, then just pull the thing out.
You - ovbiously - can't DRILL.
Curious how this works out, I've thought of doing the same down the road.
I bought one of those magnetic pan heaters - 100 watts - this past winter...
Got around to draining/filling the geared hubs today. Pretty straightforward job.
Had bought a bag of nuts from AMTAK months back, using a 5/8-18 - I forget, wife thought it was 16, I couldn't find a magnifying glass - but I did find the die to chase the threads and I did this on every...
I chose those pressures based on skimming through, oh, I don't know, maybe ten or twelve THOUSAND threads on "what should my tire pressure be?"
I can read the manual. Matter of fact TM 9-2320-280-10 happens to be open to page 2-87 right beside me as I type this. Information is very clear...
I've been in San Antone in January - those ice storms had me missing the preceding 110F in the shade summer. Houston's just a ways down the road.
Just a suggestion, comb out the fins on the cooling stack. I bought one of the gadgets through amazon, played around with it, haven't given the...
Took the beast to the range today with a couple of 1911 pistols (DGFM, SIG 1911F Scorpion) and a Pre-model 17 revolver (1947) for a break from work, working on the truck, take advantage of the weather (mid seventies when I left, around 80 on the way home), nice back road kind of 17 mile trip...
Went for a ride today - outside air temp was around 80 - 15 miles, engine temp didn't go over 195. No fan. Last time it went on was back in October when I picked it up. Unusually warm that day - 90+ - and highway speeds, fan cycled at the end of the trip.
Wow.
If he lets them trickle into the market a few at a time he could easily, quickly sell them for $150 or more (best price I've seen in a while was about $187).
Nice profit margin.

Hey, thanks for your honest assessment of those windows. I've had a set of those doors earmarked/saved on ePay for some time but wasn't comfortable with the window design. Back to looking for a good/used set of X-doors I won't have to sell plasma to afford.
Fans. Fans are good. 8)
There's a LOT going on behind that "dashboard". Pull the instrument cluster out a few inches (all you can do without releasing the speedometer cable) and get a look inside.
There's a THICK (like 2") bundle of wiring behind and above the steering column. I replaced my column as the bracket was...
I actually saw a HMMWV here in Maryland a year or so ago that had a piece of 2x10 bolted to the front end for a bumper.
Didn't see the rear, but I imagine it had the same or an airlift bumper.
Probably from PA, no need for those here.
Yet.:!:
I had to replace the transducer (sender). When I pulled it, the "bump" on the shaft which engaged with the drive off the engine was corroded to where it wasn't even turning. Works great now.
You might want to pull yours and take a look.
I found on on ePay for about $22 delivered.
One of the first things I did to my truck was remove and replace the steering column. Old style with ears/tabs and aluminum bits all broken, easier/cheaper/safer I thought just to replace it. What was behind it was a YUGE bundle of wiring harness which had come off the restraining clamps and...
I think you're probably right. My thought was to try some penetrating oil and a pickle fork (one page up is a list of tools needed:
Tools
General mechanic’s tool kit:
automotive (Appendix B, Item 1)
Pickle fork (Appendix B, Item 129)
Special Tools
Socket adapter (Appendix B, Item 146)...
