In fact the question asked was to bob or not,was this not in the thread tiltle? I was asked for my opinion and I gave it with a light hearted response I might add. I am by no means a pureest. I think a 5.9 powered g series would just be great just don't bobb it, played out already been done. Of...
This is my prayer for the day, Lord please do not let anymore military trucks fall to the fate of the dreaded bobber because there owners bought them not fully understanding what they have gotten and dissatisfied they try and transform it into something its not, amen..
Put a couple 18yr olds out in the field and see what happens. We used to beat on dads tractors like rented mules. We used to tie a string on the govenor arm and race on the road. I think the duece is not much more than a glorified wagon designed to run at 35mph. High road speed and high rpms...
You could tighten them by hand with a long enough bar I suppose. Just do not try a 1/2 inch impact won't even come close to doin it. Neverseize the inners and outters after you get them off be easier the next time
Plenty of single drive axle trucks running around with air or spring tag axles. If your driving fast enough on a rough road that your suspention is jumping in the air a the motor revs I would slow down.
I throw a 300 gal fuel tank in mine along with some grease guns some hyd oil. various tools and still get 2 pallets of seed in the back. With the on board air it makes one heck of a service truck for the farm. Its also the right height to walk right off the tailgate onto my grain drill platform...
Just something to think about. Yes they are made to operate in those conditions, sand mud etc. but what is really different than a cicvy truck as far as drivetrain. And the military has a very vast and deep pocketed maintenance program for the repair of such conditions. The sands not being...
I wont sand blast a truck period, sand get in places you can't see or remove, any crevices, cracks, any place there is grease in the brake parts everywhere its just a bad idea. If the truck is apart and your doing like a door or panel thast off the truck thats okay to blast. I know everyones...
Never thought of the hand primer could be. I haven't worked on those style injectors in a while My 400's have top stops there 6 inch pounds. beside the point. I would check the hand primer and tank selector valve beside seat. My recent experience was with a big cam 400 that I bought out of a...
Should be full. I would say air leak is your problem. Maybe the tank selector valve. I have seen so much as a loose fuel filter suck air and make them run bad. Your valves too tight will cause white smoke also. I think its 72 inch pounds on the injectors and .14 and .24 on valves. Not sure on that.
Faulty injectors will cause that, and so will a air leak in the supply line on a cummins. a small air leak will make a cummins do all sorts of things like smoke white, miss and slopper in the exhaust.
My guess would be the second gear drum band is slipping. I would say when you let it shift on its own the rpm's are down and the pump pressure is down but when you manually shift it I bet you run the rpm's up enough the added pump pressure tightens the clutch band just that little bit more. Just...
Its not a hvlp gun as advertised, but I have painted many of base clear semi truck paint jobs with these guns and they work great. Well worth the money for sure.
Thats cool someone got it. it sat down at a gravel pit on alum creek forever then showed up on harmon ave for sale, been there awhile. glad someone saved it.
