Power wise, it has more power, but only after I turned the fuel up some. Injector pump was from a non-turbo engine. Think I could crank it some more, very little smoke right now. Going to wait till I have a pyro on it. Gasser engine would whip the multi at a stock fuel...
Still plugging away! Got all the air/fuel lines rerouted for the multifuel.
What an adventure putting the engine in. I knew I was in trouble when the tractor struggled to pick up the gasser motor with transmission. Went to pick up the other parts motor to get the motor mounts off it, and...
I was bringing the bead breaker, but it's out of commission with bad seals in the pump. Lots of other parts were coming along for sale, but alas, I am spending all the time on the M108.
I didn't see any HS tractors, but they could be hiding somewhere.
I'd give them a call Lane. Very few parts/parts trucks laying out, most of the parts are warehoused.
DO NOT install a pressure gauge on the injector line. That will dead head the pump, and something will blow. May be able to pull the injectors, and hook up the injector lines to see if they are spraying. Don't put any body parts in the way of the spray, good way to end up with a hole in ya...
Was in Akron, and decided to stop by Sam winer's yard. It was almost closing time, and they let me wander the yard.
2-M108's. One complete, yellow. Body has some rust on it, and hitch modifications were done. Controls for the crane were stuck, looks like a hose seperated and let water in...
