    Front wheel cylinders

Here is the post I was talking about in your other post. While I have never met or talked to David Doyle, I respect all that he says about these trucks. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/5-ton-up/13756-m62-wrecker-question-about-brake-system.html

    M816 wrecker

You are not gonna get any better milage out of a 36,000 lbs truck without some serious modifications. One problem area is the fuel selector valve/lines on the floor beside the drivers seat. They can deteriorate over time and cause an air leak and hard starting. Best to replace all the...

    M1010 axles v/s M1008

While they all use the front Dana 60 and rear Corporate 14 bolt from GM, the M1028 has a Trac-loc in the front, (limited slip) and the M1008 is an open differential. I am not sure what the M1010 has in the front axle. They all have rear Detroit lockers.

    M820 inside dimensions

Just a FYI - the box on the back is the same as the M292A2 (deuce version) and the M313 trailer. Its a M4 body I believe. So if anyone has one of these, the measurements will be the same.

    m818 mack

Check your drivers side frame rail for a serial number and see if it matches the one on the data plate. It might be under several layers of paint. Also, measure the hood or side panel front to back and post up the number and I will compare it to my truck to see if its a M818 or M52A1. If it...
