While they all use the front Dana 60 and rear Corporate 14 bolt from GM, the M1028 has a Trac-loc in the front, (limited slip) and the M1008 is an open differential. I am not sure what the M1010 has in the front axle. They all have rear Detroit lockers.
My very first deuce I won off of GL had a generic key ignition in place of the master switch. worked good for remembering to turn off the master when done for the day.
Just a FYI - the box on the back is the same as the M292A2 (deuce version) and the M313 trailer. Its a M4 body I believe. So if anyone has one of these, the measurements will be the same.
Check your drivers side frame rail for a serial number and see if it matches the one on the data plate. It might be under several layers of paint. Also, measure the hood or side panel front to back and post up the number and I will compare it to my truck to see if its a M818 or M52A1.
