this is a repair that i highly recommend before a leak even stars. It seems that if you are going to burn anything besides diesel, you will likely face having to replace this o-ring. There's not a lot of mechanical skill involved, it's not an all-day project, it's super cheap, and you can drive...
haven't done anything with it yet, but we were planning on definitely leaving the crane alone. I'm gonna have to research the brockway, thanks for the tip
wsucougarx, I've been thinking about a mod along those same lines! If you get to fabbing yours up before I do, please post some pictures. I don't know how heavy duty mine would have to be, I think the most my rack would see would be some gas cans and chainsaws, maybe a spare tarp.
There's a lot of wisdom in that statement. Best way to jump into Alternative fuels is to EASE into it, start with a bit of wmo, and work your way up to your threshold of engine performance. It can be done any time of the year.
Start off with a mostly full tank, drop in a gallon or 2 of WMO...
asgtoolman, that's a pretty restrictive pickup schedule! I wonder if a beef could be made that 10 business/working days are counted by days that item is available for loadout, i.e. 10 weeks where you only have 1 day a week that you're permitted to loadout.
OP-do you know exactly what WMO you're running? If you've got gear lube or something thick in there, that might be part of your problem. IMHO, I think heat has a lot to do with it, i.e. you're too cold for your mixture. Either thin it with more diesel or possibly lesser quantities of gasoline...
I've heard of an adjuster turning down a claim because the guy's rig was camoflauge. "You were invisible on purpose!" If a claims adjuster gets you to just walk away, they've done their job well. They get paid on how little they pay you. You got the right story Gunfreak, just play dumb, don't...
I'm going to throw out a discussion point, please nobody murder me over this...
Since some of these painted vehicles may be considered antiques, do you think the paint job would ever be a weasel-out point for an insurance claims adjuster?
him-"what the duece kind of paint is this, here on...
another good method to getting a question answered is to find a thread that has been responded to plenty, and ask an additional question in the thread. Seems like you're not as likely to catch flak about asking a valid question on page 8 of a thread that might be 2 months--or 4 years--old. A...
yall missed the solar panels on the roof. Once you get it above 5 mph, then you get the additional power from the windmill. I think it even comes with some sails, but couldn't get that feature to pop-up on their interactive model.
I don't think a ruckus would be raised if a member was seen wearing an un-authorized tape that said Steel Soldiers, unless they were on the news, describing what the tornado sounded like, or pulling a stupid stunt like the nutball in California who had a jeep mounted machinegun mockup, and was...
one of the points I've seen Doghead raise on WMO being used, and the effects thereof: Waste motor oil is not listed as an acceptable alternative fuel.
Also, the multifuel engine was designed with a bit different purpose than a toyota sedan engine, they're not going to go 400k miles with minimal...
thanks for clearing that up for me. I saw a truck on craigslist a couple of weeks ago, advertised as being a 2004 M35A3, w/ow, front and rear pto, etc for $25k. There's not a lot of dueces in my town, and I messaged the guy (no phone number) and heard not one word. You could be right Dodgeman...
tie, I saw an ad yesterday for a duece w/w, 2500 w/o title. he got a comment on the ad mentioning an offer, then the seller replies that he's figured out how to get a title, sorry, and price is now $4500. Didn't seem like the guy wanted to sell his truck or remove his ad. go figure.
it takes quite a while the first time. then once you get the hang of it and know exactly how they should go on you don't take nearly as long. Other factors also, such as age, back problems, needing to chain up and get somewhere in a hurry, etc.
I don't know if you're going to get a straight...
anything else worth getting? the owner could only think of pulling the cables off the crane, but hasn't gotten that far yet. I was thinking maybe the sheet metal, axles or engine might be useful to somebody (someday). If anybody starts beggin for parts, just remember it's in Idaho, which is...
