If you're gelled get some PowerService 911 and dump in the tank. Give it a couple of hours to work and then try to start it.

Don't know how cold it is where you're at but if you're not running mixed/treated fuel in the winter its possible you gelled up. Don't know if this would cause a knock sound or not (possible due to starvation in the cylinders) so I would check the filters to see if you're gelled.

Tags: Legally you should get temp tags. If you're buying from private person you should have grace period but I don't know that for a fact. Log books: Crap shoot there, some come with them some don't.

If you use up and entire canister of ether on one of these things you will have to let us know how many times you started your truck with it. There is a lot of ether in one of these bottles and I can't see $30 being too much for one with as much as they hold.
