That looks like the mega sale they had out of Camp Dodge at the end of 2008/beginning of 2009. I think it was 2 sales with at least 60 trucks per sale.
Nice article. Wonder why they didn't just take another tank to move it with a towbar. That would have been easier. My guess is it is demilled (engine/tranny wise) otherwise throw 6 batteries in the girl and go. Hopefully they disconnect the final drives otherwise they could have been...
Assuming you're talking about diesel that is out of the pumps on a regular basis and not something that has been sitting with "summer" diesel doesn't WI blend their fuel in the cold months like MN has to by law? I have seen summer diesel gel at 10 degrees (Grandfather's tractor) but have never...
A SS member on here took his M105 removed the trailer bed and built his own axel/trailer frame with new axels that are electronic brakes. That would be the safe way to put this trailer behind your Jeep. The bed best guess weighs 500 - 600 lbs so the rest of the 2100 lbs empty weight is frame...
Don't know how cold it is where you're at but if you're not running mixed/treated fuel in the winter its possible you gelled up. Don't know if this would cause a knock sound or not (possible due to starvation in the cylinders) so I would check the filters to see if you're gelled.
Wasn't trying to say anything bad, so don't take it that way (not that I think you did but just in case). I went out and grabbed one of my cans of the Quick Start ether that I have for my truck. 22 fluid ounces (650CC's, 18 oz weight) and it says on the can depending on valve size the can will...
Tags: Legally you should get temp tags. If you're buying from private person you should have grace period but I don't know that for a fact.
Log books: Crap shoot there, some come with them some don't.
If you use up and entire canister of ether on one of these things you will have to let us know how many times you started your truck with it. There is a lot of ether in one of these bottles and I can't see $30 being too much for one with as much as they hold.
My grandfather has told me about snow amounts and drifts in southern IA (where I'm from) like in the picture that Sasquatch Santa posted back in the 1930's and 1940's.
Good point WM, I'm sure a lot of guys overlook the CCA rating when trying to find the battery that will fit in the box. I know at the museum we make sure everything we have has atleast 650CCA (standard 6TL rating). I put some Batteries Plus Werker 675's in my Deuce and it spins it over in single...
Thats what I call dedication.......uhh ok maybe not. Thats what I call OD Addiction  I can't say too much though, I was on livechat with Heidi back in August while I was in Taiwan during an earthquake at 1:30 AM and I didn't leave as I had to get something accomplised.
You sure on your numbers Kyle? Mine's a D turbo and it says right on the tag 139HP. I think you may be talking about the LDS rather than the LDT on the 180HP.
