Civy wiper conversion with OD paint

Its pretty simple, here is my (quick) re-build/freshen proceedure/ Note: Check your air lines before you start, might just be a slow leak. Piston removal 1. Remove the wiper arms. 2. Remove the threaded arm base from the drive shaft. 3. Disconnect your air lines from the pistons. 4. Remove the...

Installed a Grover Products Air Horn.

Yeah I would have but the supply hose was already inside the engine compartment. And If you read one of my earlier posts I explain why I did not want the valve in the cab. [thumbzup]

Installed a Grover Products Air Horn.

I'm thinking about changing the eyelet to some type of pulley, there is alot more resistance on the chain than there should be. Still works great though.

Installed a Grover Products Air Horn.

The guy I bought it from had a set of NHN train horns (real ones, from an actual NHN locomotive) installed on the old hardtop. He took them off though, I can imagine it was pretty excessive. He has them on his Unimog now.

Installed a Grover Products Air Horn.

Oh yeah almost forgot. The air source is from a line that goes right from the tanks, under the cab and to the valve. There is also a shut-off valve for the line at the tanks (sorry no pic)

Installed a Grover Products Air Horn.

Today I installed part 2 of my Grover Air Horn. I wanted a big rig type roof chain-pull lanyard thingy. But I wasn't about to run an extra 8 feet of air hose to mount a valve to the inside of the cab. I decided to mount the valve (just a basic WOLO lanyard valve) on the same surface as the...

Did you buy the same blades as I did? Don't see any reason why that would happen, where were they breaking off at?

Civy wiper conversion with OD paint

Did the civy wiper conversion today. First let me assure anyone looking to do this in the future that it is one of the easiest, cheapest and practical mods you can do to these trucks. Part #'s ARMS- ANCO # 41-01 BLADES-ANCO # 31-13 (yes these numbers have been listed before) [thumbzup] I...

    Major Meltdown!! :(

Don't be so hard on yourself, we all make mistakes and we all learn from them. I know you don't want to hear this, but someday years in the future you and your buddies will be chuckling about this one. When I blew up my trans it was like the end of the world (i know your problem is slightly more...

    71 M35 Transmission help

When I lost 2nd in mine I also lost 3rd, the shifter would not move into 2nd or 3rd because the splines on the inside of that collar stripped out completely fusing it to the main shaft. It dosent sound like thats what happend here, sounds more like the 2nd gear itself is stripped or broken. Do...

So you can move your shifter into the 2nd pos but nothing happens? Have you pulled the top of the trans yet to check the internals?

    Major Meltdown!! :(

How does an engine that is running smoothly run up it's rpm's by itself without any throttle increase? Just from getting warmer? I understand if it's running slower before all the cylinders are firing but if the throttle is set why would it increase by itself? Not saying it dosent just...
