It's possible that one or more of your filters was incorrectly installed before you replaced them, you said that there was no brass retainer cup on your primary? Maybe the filter was not restricting flow and instead was allowing all your fuel to just bypass the element. Less restriction=higher...
My SoUl HuRtS FrOm rEaDiNg ThIs EnTiRe ThReAd!!!!!!
Just a quick point about the OP, How the **** a guy living in a one bedroom apartment with a 9 meter parking space plans to build a super deuce with a biodiesel tankership on the back, twin planetary gear winches, TRUE 6X6 (X3 Lockers) AN...
So today I completed part 1 of my horn install.
In the summer I attended the Barrington NH Old Truck Meet. While I was there I scored a great pair of GROVER PRODUCTS air horns (the regular tone not the fire truck stuttertone) for only $20! They were in need of some cleaning and one was missing...
Why not just get a nuclear reactor and put it in the bed? you would get upwards of a decade out of those plutonium rods and I think you would only have to change the water once every few months. BUT BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU DUMP IT. You already have a radioactive Deuce at this point so lets keep it...
Yes, once the pump is removed you can reach inside the tank and fiddle with the float. The float is seperate from the pump so it will remain in the tank.
If you are sure about the ammount of fuel in the tank remove your in-tank fuel pump and check the float to see if it's working properly. Have someone move it up and down while you watch your gauge.
Thanks Gimp, Thats the one that goes up through the center of the roof right?
I probably wont have a problem finding one, I was thinking of buying a new one and painting it OD. I may try to mount it at a 45* through the windshield frame like this one I just found.
I searched a bunch of different variations of the title but nothing came up.
Has anyone installed a police style hand controlled spotlight on their Deuce? I have seen them on fire engines but was wondering if anyone has one installed in their hardtop/windshield frame or something.
As long as I could wire up a relay so the 12v does not get left on accedentally I would go with the equalizer, just because I only have a couple 12v things. I like the idea of dual alts but it just seems like overkill for alot of what I would be running. (cb radio, stereo, aux lights) 2cents
I may be wrong but I think you can do it with two seperate 12v vehicles and 2 sets of jumper cables. Not 100% sure but I know the others will correct me if I am wrong.
Like I said before I'm not trying to get anyone hurt. If this really is a bad Idea stop me now. But as long as you arent a complete idiot and forget to chock your wheels / set your parking brake and ensure that your trans is in neutral I think it would be a useful mod. I would never want to...
I suppose you could run it to the driver's side edge of the bumper but I think if it was right next to the winch it would allow you to spool your cable back up perfectly without an assistant. And all you would need to do is let go of the lever and the drum would stop turning, if built properly.
