Convert to 12 volt or use a power inverter?

My .02 cents - use another alternator - cheaper, won't run out of "room" for the load, easy to install and can be replaced by going to the junkyard and getting another one. If you go to the 12V system instead of the 24V - rewire, different lights, more current flowing = not good Power...

    Electrical woes...

The alternator uses a charge from the battery to "flash" the field, it should have a diode to prevent the current from flowing from the alternator into the battery. Maybe you are missing that diode?

Or put another alternator (12V) on the engine and a separate battery and run all the 12V stuff you want to.

The question I have: What are you gonna do when you pour veggie oil (WVO) in, run it for a little bit, shut it down and then you have cold thick veggie oil in your lines? Even when its good pure oil, it will still thicken when cold. Thats why there are two tank systems, one to heat WVO and...

Unfortunately all GL will do is give you the option for a refund of your sale. Of course that means returning the truck which is not feasible now. Yea, they suck, we all know it and it does not look like they are gonna change their policy.

Lost Pre GL Era SF-97,Who Do I Contact At DRMO?

You don't need an SF-97 to get a title in NM. You can get a surety bond from an insurance company, get the VIN verified by the cops and take both along with a bill of sale to the DMV and get a title - cost me $50 for the bond from Allstate and whatever the DMV charges.
