I say drive it 65.
If you blow the engine and want to spend money on a new one, get a p400.
I dont think that you will have any problems, as long as your harmonic balancer is good.
I wouldnt do a gear swap as i think the 4.56's are a great feature.
I've read that it is best to run the engines under a load to seat the rings with the cylinder.
Maybe try loading up your truck with weight and then take it out for the first drive. I would even try to tow a trailer as often as possible.
Minimal idle time is critical i believe in early engine...
Ill be there. Nothing better than playing in the snow when getting stuck doesnt matter!
Least we could do a get together and bonfire/ cookout somewhere
I think that radiator might be small. I would watch water temps until you are sure it can cool the 6.2 under load.
Otherwise good work and its almost there. Cant wait to hear how it drives
Haha thats funny
But that truck has never been registered by me, i never drove it. Came that way from a p.o.
And there are lots of civi vehicles with 6.2 diesels that are used on freeways like campers and some bread/box trucks.
Also i rarely drive highway so, im not worried about the engine's...
If it was b100 it could do a drastic cleaning to your fuel system.
Watch your fuel lines for leaks and carry a spare filter around in case it loosens up any crud and clogs the filter
That wouldnt work with your starter, gas/diesel is different tooth
The 700r4 uses 3 bolts, but i thought the were on a different circle than the 400
Wonder whats in there
I replaced one over the weekend, its just a bunch of work nothing hard.
Pulled the engine out
Headgasket blew and the engine ran full of water.
Had to get creative with the HF engine crane and various jacks
Shopping for a Optimizer hopefully:razz:
Possibly buying a blazer for scrap with a good 350, but i am not really interested in a gas truck
Either way i want...
Put a tie down around the tire and crank it down till the bead is close. Then put air in, Just enough to hold the bead.
Remove strap before the tire starts expanding.
