Its a little late for you to change this, but you could have used a twist-lock connector and then you wouldn't have had to worry about the cord coming out so easily. Just a thought...
That was a different increase, minimum on EUC stuff went from $90 (I believe this is correct, if not sorry) to the current $150. This new one affects everything.
A couple things you can do to help out as well w/out spending money on a solarizer. More than likely you have a small energy drain that you don't notice in the summer.
A. Unhook your ground
B. Put a ground disconnect on your battery post

No kidding ranchhopper. I previewed them myself, some nice ones but I don't think they (or the ones in MN) justified the 2k+ per truck that they went for. Two in WI today went for 3.5K+....just crazy in my opinion. One of those WI trucks was on a sale right before Xmas and the guy must have...
Not to steal the thread, but look at what the last 2 sales worth of Deuces have brought in IA and MN today. People must be wanting them bad and have some deep pockets to go with the urge. Not trying to offend anyone if they were a winner of any of them.
Cruz,
Best thing to do with your question is to call both state's DMV and ask them directly. All that will happen asking here is that someone will do the same thing and then relay the message on. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but it is what will happen.
Simple, move to MN in the winter and you'll have all the snow you want. Rent your house out to a couple of snow birds and let them pay you house payments during the cold months.......ok maybe not but just a thought. :-D
Only 1 in IA went for under 2k (it didn't run due to a fuel leak) and not one of them closed at 5:00. Still watching the bids just to see what they stop at.
Look at where the bottom of the trailer (near fender well) is compared to the top of the tires on both sides; they look pretty even just eyeballing it on my screen. If is tweaked then it would be in the front half of the trailer.
Should have also asked for pictures of this A/C unit he put on it. Just for fun ask him if he knows where the dipstick for the windshield wiper fluid is
I would be suprised if this does occur that they would let it get out to much ahead of time (i.e end of truck supply), or if they even let it filter down to the GL employees below manager level.
Not sure of the tranny model but have been told by Army mechanics that they quit making new parts for the torque converters years ago (or the Army quit buying parts) and they had one go bad in an A3. They sent the converter out to a repair shop that usually did the repairs for that and the shop...
There are some previous posts about an A3 vs A2 and here are a couple off the lists:
Cons: Parts are harder to come by (transmission especially), the CTIS can be a POS (can be disconnected however), low top speed, costs a lot more to purchase
Pros: Powersteering, automatic transmission
I just talked to a site rep from GL and he said they haven't heard anything about this yet. He did also say that here in the next month or so his site should be going through 100+ Deuces and trailers on auction.
Nothing other than what the website that Freighttrain is talking about. If you go to that site and put in the NSN of a 1009 or 1008 or M35A2 you will see that they now all have to the codes to be scrapped in the US.
