Clinto,
If you do decide to have a raffle, etc. I would recommend running the idea by the DA in the county. If the DA provides approval, it is most likely OK. I would be nervous doing something like having a raffle in GA without knowing for sure.
I drive mine 3 - 4 times a week, but only occasionally to work. Usually to town and back at ~25-30 miles. I've been getting around 10 - 11 MPG running straight diesel, which is an improvement over the mileage when I picked it up about a year ago from GL. Keeping the tires inflated to 50 PSI...
Not to get off topic, but that is one nice TR3 in the photo. Is it an A or B?
Braking with the extra weight was my main concern regarding using the M105A2.
I have my MEP-003A on an M116A2 trailer, and it pulls very well, either behind my Deuce or behind my Ford pickup, although I agree that the M105A2 is a very sweet trailer to pull. Putting the GenSet on an M105A2 trailer places the weight so high as to rule out pulling by conventional pickups...
If used correctly, you can get a large number of uses out of an ether bottle. The cost per shot is not that great. In addition, ether should only be used if needed. I have used ether twice in the past year, and only one shot was needed the first time and two shots the second time. As others...
The transfer case popping out of high range is not that uncommon. I've seen at least two deuces with the lever tied in high range with a piece of rope. I've also seen some previous posts describing what causes the X-case to jump out of gear. I think you'll find some help if you perform some...
I paid $2400.00 at auction, plus 10% commission, but no taxes for my 1969 M35A2 W/W. I was lucky in that most tires were relatively new, almost new batteries, brakes were great, cargo top almost new, all bows and seats and hard top in good shape. After one year, lost 5th gear and replaced...
I tried taking the lug nuts off my Deuce when I first got it with a 1/2" CN impact wrench with 1/4" air hose to the gladhand and the nuts wouldn't budge. I upgraded to 1/2" air line and two came loose. I then spent some money and got a 3/4" CN impact wrench with 1/2" line to the gladhand and...
I didn't see a date on the tank. The date of 11/2000 is on the dataplate on the chassis and the dataplate looks old. Where would the tank date be located?
I drove a Deuce in the Army about 40 years ago. They all had manifold heaters. I now have a Deuce with ether. Ether works much better in my opinion, but others may disagree.
I just found out that the U.S. Army got credit for my Deuce in the parade! I didn't hear it, but apparently the local radio station and cable TV informed everyone that my Deuce was actually from the Army. Maybe it was my OD MVPA shirt I was wearing!
I keep having to sign back in repeatedly. I can try to post something and if it takes more than a few minutes, I have to sign back in to make the post. Very irritating.
In Georgia you won't apply for a title for the trailer. You will register is as a military trailer using the model of the trailer. You will also need the manufacturer's name and year of manufacture. The 'paid in full' invoice from GL will work or if you purchased it from an individual, a...
