Higher? or do you mean Lower? The 1009 uses the GM 10bolt axle.... they are a dime a dozen. You shouldnt have a hard time finding some 3.42 or 3.73 gears. I would suggest 3.42's if you are keeping the stock transmission, and 3.73's for with Overdrive.

Doubtful... the 24 system is pretty damn simple once you grasp the concept of how its setup.

I have been half looking for a set to fit the front holes... as I am missing my front lights. I never even considered the rear.... bu thtats a great idea.

Do you have the 'rear' bracket on the starter?

You need the smaller one for the 700R4 Well... its not a smaller diameter... its a smaller bolt pattern.

700R4 flexplate is SMALLER than the one for hte TH400. If you go to the auto parts store, and ask for a flexplate for a civvy truck with the 3 speed TH400 transmission, you shoudl be fine.

Actually... I think the 700 and 400 dipstick are the same.... (been using a 400 one in my 700) When I did my swap, the 700 stick I had was screwed up... but seemed to match the 400.

Saying it this way, means mine is a Light. But I thought the light didnt use 1" pins for the feet, or extend? (I could be smoking crack)
