The intention and effort was there and plenty of ambition. But the rain falling and the dampness where to much to handle. the Lazy Boy just looked like the place to be. Tomorrow is another day. I can not do excellent work out in the rain. Partly sunny is tomorrows forecast.
I was out in the miserable weather tonight for a bit. I positioned my rear window and windshield to be put back in the M1008 in the AM. $80. to do both. Not worth the effort or risk. These guys put them in in 10 minutes. I used to. Used to. I also removed the stock civilian dash corner speakers...
Water vapor[edit]Vehicle exhaust contains much water vapor. There has been research into ways that troops in deserts can recover drinkable water from their vehicles' exhaust gases. [37

Rain is slowing me down. I have a shop full of M1008 and M1009 and no room to work inside. But the weekend looks promising. Got to get rolling have a new owner that is excited for his truck. I understand but can't rush and cut corners. Only done right is right. Not fast at all. And not slow...
What's that mean? Are you going to stay back at base camp? Afraid to scratch your paint or tear your canvas? Or does that mean you are running with the jeep alliance that is going to be there that weekend? Choose your words carefully on that answer. We are NOT alone.

This is the mix sheet from the PPG sealer i am using F3985 Fleet service grey sealer. Firefox was asking. The paint is Lusterless Alkyd enamel. Got it as outdated paint from a military base. They were discarding it. Turned it in to Safety Clean. Go figure. i seen them discard unused new ATF and...
Painted a lot of small parts and rebuilt the guides. these are much better then the Chinese replacements they currently market. Cleaning the old ones and fixing them takes about an hour. I have a set in my M1009 for 8 years now. Still smooth and no felt bunching in the bottom. The key is to keep...
I picked up the 5 wheels at the sand blaster tonight at 1800. And by the time I was in the house they were all blown off and had sealer sprayed on them. They are back in the barn for the night. Tomorrow I will put the finish black on the back side of the wheels. Have a great day.
Purchased 4 new Goodyear tires for the M1008 Snow plow truck. After all my life of plowing and off roading IMHO these are the best all around tires for snow and mud. They hold up well and make plowing a breeze. They are the stock LT 23585/R16 10 ply tires. This is about thee 5th set of these and...
I was out a little earlier today.Rebuilding the rear window runs and getting a chrome tailgate handle ready for paint. More later. I have paint drying.
More progress. heading in the right direction. Soon the M1009 will be in someone else's care. I like it that way. I have so many projects and a few I am neglecting. Time to get working. I will post more later. Gotta Run. Enjoy the pictures. It's a Simple Task.
but i'm going away for a bit.
