I don't have a clue. Other then when the resistors are by passed it effects the cycling after glow of the glow plug system. I am not an electrician and never had any out of the ordinary maintenance problems with the glow plugs system as it is and was from new. So I only maintained it that way. I...
With a test light I attach the clip to positive and make the test light light when I probe the ground. Simple enough. Nothing fancy. These are old trucks and many people have messed with them. Many have grounds up front on the core/radiator support that are badly corroded or just plain swinging...
Even with the Gen 2 belt water tight. I get a weak sounding drone squeal after start up. It makes the sound only during the cycling of the glow plugs in the after glow cycle. It will do it very faintly for the first minute and then it's gone. I have my CUCV hooked up stock in all ways. I know...
Yes you will have 12 volts at the base. This metal prong protrudes in from the side and serves as the ground. You can definitely see that it contacts the outer side of the bulb base to complete the circuit. Check your grounds carefully.
And Still troubleshooting my right front Directional ( inop)
Check the bulb socket. You should have a small sliver of steel protruding into the socket that serves as a ground. If that is missing go to NAPA and get another socket. I have the Part Number if you need it. Hope that helps. Have a...
Now that makes me laugh. That is a very heavy frost. But truthfully. I installed 2 new batteries in Terminus M1009 and turned the switch on the wait light came on and it fired right up. Later I seen the guy that I sold it to. He raved how that truck was unstoppable and if not for the broken axle...
I have used oil line and hose clamps. Spring type hose clamps and standard hose clamps. The first ones I made a wrapped in white paper towel and drove it a few days checked it the towels were clean. I wrapped them again drove a week or longer and left it go. No leaks. I bought a pair of A C...
The mud must be very corrosive also. I noticed a lot of the new bolts I put on in June and July are very rusty. that caliper was a rebuild in June or July when I put it on. I blew out the rotors up front. I am amazed that the 1984 rotors still have cooling vents on them. I see 2009 models that...
So far I have not heard from anyone staying over night Friday. Most guys I contacted are showing up Saturday AM. That always works for me. I have a nice house, bed with my wife to sleep in. If anyone is coming up to Rausch Creek and wants wood. Better bring some. At this point with the guys I...
Late in the season to paint outside.
Painted the wheels outside. Lately I am racing the sun. I got them done and then carried them back into the barn. Wheel farming is easier the pigs I used to have in the barn. This is the back side of the wheels. Tomorrow weather permit I will get the front...
Free Brakes at Autozone. Terminus M1009 is in the race. New rear brakes are on and tomorrow the new E brake cable will be here. The cable from the pedal to mid ship was a little rough. Original one. new oil filter, oil Rotella T and air filter. $14.95 after my rebates and discount. Great deal...
Well it did not fit the 6.2 anyway. So I just put it back in the box with the rest of the parts. I bought an A C Delco at Autozone and 2 gallons of Rotella T. Terminus is getting a transfusion tomorrow.
I thought it might be fine. Do you know what a standard A C Deco filter is rated in Microns. Quick. I will google it. It seems legit. I googled it again and still think you are also right. It should work. Terminus M1009 will be the experimental model. Last oil change lasted 20 miles. Short life...
No I never meant anyone specific. Just saying a few of the things you try are not going to be right for others. And when they try your ideas they never work either. You done nothing wrong. I am glad your belts work for you and hope everyone finds things that work for them. They are not mine so I...
You ever see my skid plate? Tin / tubes on the under side. life expectancy minimum at best. I say highway driving only. The slightest oil leak and the crud will start packing the tubes. Nothing wrong with highway use but normal contractor off road. not worth the money. It will pack with mud and...
I found a filter in a box of CUCV parts I purchased. It has a logo and says 25 microns. It looks like it would fit an oil filter on the 6.2. Is 25 Microns to small for an oil filter? Asking. Don't know thought I would ask. I would like to use it. Don't want to waste it. It is in plastic sealed.
There will always be someone out there that wants attention so, they force their opinions on others as the only right way. I always found that what works and fits for one guy won't always work and fit for the other guy even if it does fit and work. Not his idea. So how is it ever going to work...
6 days to go. I hope you are further ahead of my ride.Maybe this is what I will be riding. No I should be good to go by Thursday. E brake cable up front is the only thing I don't currently have in my grasp. Terminus M1009 will be ready bright and early. Never heard back if anyone was staying up...
