Geeze no need to get upset. However the poles of the A frame are called gin poles. This is from the Deuce -10 TM Its hard to read but if you see line 12 it clearly says the ginpoles are positioned to make the a frame

The winch crane setup is called an "A" frame. But the legs from the front bumper do not look stout enough to be military issue. Its probably something they just rigged up to do the task at hand. Look at post #10 in this thread, http://www.steelsoldiers.com/m37/61360-m37-frame-winch.html

The strap with the snaps in the red circle in this pic. My M105 covers have these on the inside (I think the cover in the pic is on that trailer inside out) My M101 covers do not have these straps. They snap around the the verticle board that sits right above the wheel well on a M105

The snaps right above the wheels says its a 105 cover to me.

Mine has the standard bobble head vent cap. I was wondering why you were removing the vent just to open the MC.

Id rather see them used for targets than go to the shredder. At least our military is getting some good use out of them.

I dont think thats what its supposed to be there for. Sure it works when you tuck that flap up under it but that would make it much more time consuming when putting the top on or off. I dont see it mentioned in the TM either (tucking the flap under). I bet the guys in the motorpool figured it...
